With Southern Talent, particularly from the state of Florida. Big difference.
We've seen what happens when OSU's best goes up against FLorida's best in 07 natl title game, and we've seen what happens when UF's depleted roster goes against OSU's current roster in last years bowl game (with four starters on defense out). Both results were a big L for Ohio State. Same with LSU's two loss title team the following year. Those OSU teams were "stacked" if I remember right.
It seems like OSU has finished with the best class in the Big Ten pretty much every year, but I could be wrong. Just wondering why OSU fans are so sure that team will be so much better this year. What changed?
The Urban prior to 09 (With Mattison, Mullen, and Strong), and the talent on UF's roster at the time thanks to their evals, is not the current Urban Meyer (or his staff) and not the type of talent OSU has.
Sure, it's enough to do well in the Big Ten, but what about when it counts? Just don't see how OSU gets over the "big game" hump. What Urban did at UF, and what he'll do at OSU, is not apples to apples. Different talent level, different culture, different league, different coaching staff.

Yeah-they're not worried at all. I mean, Lloyd Carr beat Florida and Hoke won a BCS game against mighty VT (who statistically dominated them). They're not even the best team in their state.
The back and forth with them is pointless-we've been and are losing to the USCs and LSUs of the world, not middle tier Big Ten teams.

Of course he could. However, his on field performance has yet to warrant a 4-star status according to 247. There are plenty of camps coming up where he can improve his ranking. He'll then have his entire senior season. I suggest performing at camps because they occur first.
I'm all for the kid doing his best and being ranked properly.
