F-UCLA are Guttless and insecure.

  • Lulz at the OP.

You are just a whiny little b!tch if this actually bothers you.

It's UCLA's field they can do whatever they please.

I hope they somehow manage to beat your overrated asses.

You're just a dick everyone else qualifies.

Lulz and you are just a USC slappy. Stabbing a sword in the ground sounds about the gheyest "tradition" I have ever heard. Doesn't surprise USC would have such a "tradition", and USC fans would be up in arms trying to protect it.

What gives USC the right to disrespect UCLA on its own field?

50 years of tradition doesn't mean a thing - if a new generation of UCLA fans doesn't like it, then USC needs to deal with it, not whine about a team no longer being intimidated by them.

This is something Trojan fans can't comprehend for their lives. They seem to be a group that is all about themselves. BFD if the tradition doesn't continue this weekend. It's not their home game. Home teams get to do what they want within reason, so this isn't a BFD.

Can't believe the freakin uproar over something so minor. If Colorado called USCw and asked to bring Ralphie and said it was a school tradition that the buffalo takes a dump on the home team's logo as the team comes out, the response by USC fan would be what?

  • So much underdog in this thread it's hilarious.

The whole sword in the ground thing isn't about USC's tradition it's about the bitch move by ucla to get butthurt and make a fuss over it.

No one in this thread understands ucla's inferiority complex in LA football. This latest move just brings it so clearly into focus.

The thread backfired get over it. It seems the majority of college fans think it's a joke USC fans are complaining about it. Most understand it's UCLA's stadium they can do what they want.

  • Has any school ever blocked us from doing this? Once again, why is it supposedly a sign of disrespect when we do it to our own logo?

UCLA can do whatever they want, but I don't see the reasoning.

It's their field their stadium. If they feel like it's dis respecting UCLA then they have the right to say no. It seems a little like disrespect to me though. Kind of like when TO on SF celebrated on the star at cowboys stadium.

Not at all comparable IMO. T.O didn't do that every week before the game, and its not a touchdown celebration. He pulled that out of his a** against Dallas because of the rivalry and to taunt.

We do this every game as a part of our band's pregame show, even on our own turf. Its not taunting.

I mean USC can ban all cheerleaders from their stadium if they want to, but it wouldn't make sense. UCLA can do this all they want, it just doesn't make sense.

Doesn't USC ban the opposing teams from doing a walk through on your field on Friday?

That was to save the turf at the Coli, which tends to wear down at the end of the season more than most stadiums.

Stabbing the field with a tiny sword isn't going to ruin the RB turf.

How is stabbing a sword through a schools logo NOT a sign of disrespect?

Seems sorta hypocritical to be mad at this but ban teams from using your field.

  • It's cool for 50 guys to gangbang a chick on the turf for a porno but another team using the field for a walkthrough doesn't fly shrug

Nobody cared at every stop we did it until UCLA said we can't do it, now its disrespectful? So when we stab the interlocking SC its disrespecting ourselves, got it.

Hey we let Oregon people throw O's and wear Storm LA shirts on our field. Disrespectful. Ban them from the stadium if they do it again.

The field walkthrough thing is to save the turf from dying like 2009
