That's a phrase that only exists because of 1993 and 2004, years that no sane person will claim were championships. There's not a single other fanbase who would use such a ridiculous term,

Yet Ohio State fans on this very board have been bragging about their undefeated season this year. You have been owned

Yet Auburn has as many or more national championships...clearly more if you counted them he same way bammer does. After all, Auburn was named national championship by one or more pre- AP polls. We just dont count them for some mysterious reason like bammer does. FSU was an all girls school who didnt even have a football program during this time

You guys won the Rose Bowl pre-1936?

There wasnt a Rose Bowl between 1902-1917. This is the era where one or more pre-AP polls named Auburn as national championships. bammer couldnt claim a national title during this period even if you wanted to, because you didnt win your first conference championship until the mid 1920's Of course, the mid 20's is also the era where even a bammer alumnus named Williamd Bradford Huie claims you first started your tradition of paying players and doing anything else it took to win.Kind of crushes the myth that bammer has always had a dominant football program

bammer has also only won 4 Rose Bowls, but you count 5 pre-AP national titles

    You are a sad individual.

I think the fact that the 50's and 80's are the only decade since the 1920's that we haven't won a NC would suggest that we are a dominant program

1941 is a joke and most would tell you that we should not claim a NC that year, but the AP was a new kid on the block and not well respected and WWII started that year so only 10 teams went bowling so it was somewhat of a strange year. Our undefeated team in 1966 has 10x the claim to a NC than any of AU's undefeated seasons w/o championships and we don't claim it.

  • Aubie sure appears to be sealing up the dumbest poster on tBB for 2012. Congrats.

I really like his selective stats. Auburn has won more game than FSU. Well, Auburn started playing in 1892 and has won 63% of its games (721 wins, 413 losses, 47 ties). FSU started playing in 1947 and still has a higher winning percentage (66%) than Auburn. I guess those extra 55yrs of a head start did Auburn no favors. FSU has 36 all americans (in 55 less years) where Auburn had 26. Just a small sampling of where Aubie continues to miss the bus. Again, if you ask around CFB, which team would you rather coach, right now: auburn or FSU, FSU is the answer. Everyone sees that, but aubie.

ok auburn fans cant say shit about coaches. you keep trying to raid our staff and our guys keep saying no. what does that say about your program? gus malzahn was a highschool coach a few years ago as well if i remember correctly. if our "high school coach" fails we can can him and bring someone in quickly. if yours fails it damages your program even worse.

Yeah using winning percentage to determine superiority between Auburn and FSU is just slightly flawed considering Auburn has played the 7th toughest schedule in college football history and FSU has played the 69th toughest schedule according to college football warehouse.

As I said earlier, a FSU fan bragging about superiority based on things like winning percentage is equal to a junior high team claiming superiority over a NFL team because the junior high team won more games. The level of competition is nowhere close to the same

A lot of FSU's success in winning percentage was also obviously ran up during the 1990's. If you meausered Auburn and FSU's success since FSU started playing football, the 1980's and the 1990's are the only two completed decades FSU has won more games and they just won 1 or 2 more games during the 1980's
