FSU and Clemson to Big 12?

    If the Big 12 went to 16 and added FSU, Clemson, GT, Louisville, Miami, and Maryland it would have a very nice and natural east coast and west coast division. Baylor would be in the east I guess. Conference would simply try to avoid Miami and Clemson doing anything with Iowa State and those super far away.

    FSU should be in the SEC east though. Period. SEC are fools and pussies for not adding us.

    Actually it would be more likely that Iowa St would join those schools in an Eastern Division

    Then why does the SEC keep asking ? we would be in there if it wasn't for you, there is no denying that much

    Any conference would want FSU, they are one of the best athletic programs in america

    FSU has a great program but you don't bring anything to the table for the SEC...we gave invite to Mizzou and NcState or Maryland could be next so that should tell you this isn't about having "one of the best athletic programs in america". One of the UF writers said Miami would get an invite before FSU. Even with 25000-30000 fans showing up for home games they bring an extra media market, talent rich recruiting area for SEC and academic achievements.

  • One thing is for certain- The new big 12 commissioner Bowlsby is reading to make moves and he made no mistake by telling the media he's ready and prepared for big 12 expansion. Don't be surprised if they add 2 teams before the summer is over.

    believe what you like but FSU not getting a SEC invite isn't bc of UF. FSU made their bed years ago by spurning the SEC for ACC.

    If you are right, don't be surprised if those teams turn out to be Louisville and another team from the crumbling Big East. That seems far more likely than FSU and Clemson.

  • If the Big 12 gets to 14 with FSU and Clemson then they stay at 14 barring ND. Adding Maryland, Louisville, or Georgia Tech does not add above and beyond the current pile of money.

    For the Big 12 to get to 14 they need to add 2 more teams to Fsu/Clemson package. Who are the other 2 teams? But u are correct, Big 12 will not go to 16 until they know what ND plans long term.

    My guess is the the other 2 teams will come from the following schools(if indeed Fsu/Clemson do leave Acc): Miami, GT, Maryland, Pitt, Louisville, VT.

    Actually, you should pay closer attention to what you wrote the 1st time. You said they were cupcakes. They are not.

    Then, when you were proven wrong you want to change it to elite. I never said elite. But they definitely are not cupcakes.

    Exactly, 5 of the 6 have finished in top 10 in the past 3-4 years and 3 have finished in top 5-6.
    Historically elite, no. But they are by no means cupcake.

    Lets break that down:

    1. = won't have a job next year
    2 .= see #1, and will likely be replaced by a coach deemed "elite"
    3. = Was elite enough to be HCIW at Texas....I would give him more than a year before I throw labels.
    4. = Not elite
    5. = Petrino was elite, unfortunately for Ark he was also was a scumbag.
    6. Say what you will, he is sitting on a NC trophy and plays in the hardest division in CFB.
