  • It was tough to see our team decline as much as it did even though we still made bowl games. If Bowden stayed on longer we would have likely saw some five win seasons.

  • In December 2005 I started a campaign against bobby because it was obvious at that point. I'd say 90% of the posters hated me for it. By fall 2007 most realized he was senile and awful but thought he "deserved" to go out on his own. By the end of 2009 if he hadnt retired many fans would have given up.

    Its ugly. Mack Brown is 1/2 the coach Bobby was too. Your AD is just really average.

  • good luck. talk about a shitty painful process. we kept sucking ass and nothing would happen. at the end of 07 it looked like we were finally gonna make a move and then we won 9 damn games in 08 to prolong the agony one more year.

  • The guy was like some kind of weird grandfather figure to all of us.

    The bottom line is that when you cannot remember who you just played, or who you play next week, or half the players names, you cannot run a program...

    The worst part was the fans of other teams telling us how ungrateful we were...as if we didn't feel guilty enough for wanting a new coach. My guess is if Wake Forest came into their house and whipped their ass 30 - 0, they'd feel the same way.

    I think Texas fans can "kind of" agree where we are coming from, although Texas was great before Mack, and will be great again, while the future of FSU very much hangs in the balance...relatively speaking

    Deloss is average when it comes to coaching decisions. He is a great businessman and unfortunately that seems to be the only thing that matters.

    I'm laughing at that too.

    We had a mass exodus to the NFL and lost our OC who is now a very successful HC.

    I think we may have had a couple of 9 win seasons a 10 win season, and then even in 2005 we won the ACC despite a terrible season.

    So basically fsufsu was ready to run off a legendary coach after 3 average season and a conference championship.

    Pretty much not surprising, given his pregnant woman mood swings.

    The problem is the boosters that really matter are not unified against Mach either. I do not know how people can have witnessed the last three years as a whole and think Mack is the man to right the ship.

    Agreed... What's bad is that CFB as a whole has been down the past few years and any decent Texas team could have competed for a title.. You guys picked a bad time to be mediocre. (same with Miami, not flaming you guys)

    Especially when you consider every other football program in Texas is on the rise. Yet Texas will give Brown a raise.
