  • What's up with Karlos Williams, is he just not picking up the playbook or what, the kid has all the talent in the world, I thought that he would be starting for you guys by now.

  • talent is only as good as you make if... T.Brooks is working his ass off right now, I am sure Los is balling out but Brooks is just doing a little more.... it happens...

  • the kid is a sophomore and we are loaded with talent

Still hasn't even been on campus a full year

Im willing to bet anybody that he not only plays a lot this year but likely becomes the starter

Give him some time guys, not everybody starts right away on defense loaded with 4 and 5 stars

I don't hear anybody wondering where HaHa is on Bama's depth chart

Karlos will be a star, i have zero doubts

I agree..... and to me if Brooks is starting that just shows how much depth we have....

What i think happens is Karlos takes the job and Brooks becomes the main backup who plays a ton and starts at nickle back

We will see but that is how i see it unfolding

I think they are trying to challenge Karlos and hopefully he rises to that challenge

But Brooks is not a slouch out there, and was probably our second best safety last year even though he did not start.

    Not saying he is

Karlos is still a way better talent than Brooks is

  • Karlos is goofy, was too goofy to get good at his craft. He's passed the denial phase by all accounts. He'll be our 3rd safety this year and play a lot.

Probably because HaHa will start for us next year.

    No comment on Karlos though.

  • Never heard of the guy

    Hillsborough

  • That's good for Haha and Bama but Karlos has not been a disappointment and he won't be starting. You can infer what you want from that but FSU looks great at Safety.

And I know what Nova meant when he said Karlos is a sophomore but Karlos is in the spring of his freshman year and he has already put his physicality and overall athleticism on full display this past season.

Supposedly Joyner has been a good mentor for him and basically Joyner has told him you may think you're young but the clock is no doubt ticking already.

Imo its a toss up between Karlos Williams and Rashard Greene

    In terms of overall talent

In terms of production its Joyner

    Offense: Rashad Greene then EJM

Defense: Werner, Jernigan, Christian Jones are all future first round picks in most opinions. Xavier Rhodes may join that list as well.

Joyner will be dominant this year but he's 5'7.5 195

    Whoops forgot Jernigan

He is certainly 1a on defense with Karlos and Werner a slight step behind

Good call on Jones too, really looking for him to breakout this season

FSU fans: who is your most talented player off/def for this year?

Def: Brandon Jenkins or Jernigan, with Christian Jones in 3rd. I think Jones is set for a monster year. XRhodes should have HIS year this year as well. Our defense has several guys who are great talents.

Off: Greene looks like our guy here. I wish I could say EJ, but so much of his effectiveness is predicated on our previously lackluster OL. Greene can do the STs as well as offense. I think D. Freeman could have a great year as well. On OL, B. Hart should be growing into his own and he's still young (18 yrs old, I believe).

    Should be an interesting year.

As far as Karlos, Brooks isn't a slouch and has put in work. It could be a decoy, that Jimbo is known to do--like other coaches-- to pull out the competitor in a player. You never know. It's just spring and miles to go before we sleep....

Los will be a Beast. He may not be a full time starter this year, but he will see the field quite a bit.

    Yeah there is no doubt

I truly believe this is all a ploy to get him motivated like robins hinted at

I love Brooks too but he ain't no K-Los

  • So the talk about him moving to offense because he's not picking up the safety spot was just a ploy to get him motivated? Interesting.

I think the talk of him not being the starter is

My guess is the whole RB thing was said to keep him happy because Karlos was the one who said he wanted to stay on D

    Not Jimbo

Don't worry we all know you are dying to call him a bust

Los thought about moving to RB, he later decided to stay at safety..... also Brooks has just been a little better, not more talented....

hate is strong in this one....

That's a twisted rumor. Jimbo simply asked him if he wanted to give RB a shot in the spring and he said yes and then naw. Yes, in January of his true freshman year he had not yet learned the Safety position. lol

Added to that for you. It's a nuance, but an important one. Agree with your post, just wanted to clarify.

    Good call

I think its funny how so many on Warchant are already calling him a bust

    Freaking nuts

I saw enough from the kid to know he is likely to be our best overall player from this point on

The kid is the unltimate football player, might be the most talented kid we have had since Warrick

  • He's ridiculous. Passionate, strong, fast, instinctive. I have no worries about Los.
