FSU vs Bama

  • Who wins 2012????
    Both teams have Elite Defenses, Good QBs but not Elite, Bama lost a ton of starters, while FSUs OLine is garbage. A good matchup IMO. Saban is the best coach in CF, while Jimbo is still up and coming. It would be a hard hitting, Defensive game. Probably come down to which Offense could make a couple more big plays. Who wins??

  • Tough to say because FSU's run defense is going to be epic this year...

    If our OL improves I think our offense has so many moving parts that we'd be able to win, but I don't think our OL will improve enough to beat Bama.

    I'd call 17-24 Bama wins on a defensive score right before half.

  • Bama easily, and it's not because i'm a homer. I DO believe FSU will be a force to reckon with, but until i see it proven on the field as they say, i'm just not seeing this as a big time match up - for now.

    poster above was 35-14 - so I'll go with that, although you'll have to convert to the option if you want to score 21 on them... :)

  • Honestly don't think it would be a high scoring affair. Probably more like a 10-3 or 13-6 game IMO. Both defenses are great, so points would be hard to come by.

    I can confidently predict FSU wins 35-17. I haven't watched Bama play since the last time FSU beat them, so I have no reason to expect anything different.

    Besides Bama's defense benefits from playing in the weakest offensive conference in the country, other than Arkansas the offenses have been rather pedestrian the last few years. Bama is probably an average defense in the ACC.

    FSU could probably shut out half the teams in the SEC too.

    Im not agreeing with him, just posting the facts of last year. I look for MSUs defense to drop off and FSUs to be better, but its hard to compare the 2 who are playing a way different level of talent

    Again that is last year.... so that is a moot point... and I am willing to be out defense is better than MSU and would do well in the SEC as it is built like an SEC defense..... and the talent level difference is mainly in the trenches... the ACC isn't far behind as in talent...

  • At of all honesty, FSU wouldn't score more than 14 against Bama. So for FSU's sake, they'd better hope for a low scoring game but then we have AJ who has proven to be a solid passer and he will be better than last year.

    Bama would score 24-37 points against FSU and it would look nothing like the last time we played.

    Is this a joke?? FSU cant win the ACC but were talking about them beating Bama? My thing is until they prove it on the field that they can beat the big boys then this isnt even up for debate..
