FSU vs USC

  • I would give the edge to USC because Bakley is so good. Would be a good match-up though.

USC would win, we wouldn't have a hungover Garcia.

Oh that is how we won..... thanks Stephen....

    This

FSU's only chance would be knocking the blond princess out early..... which is very possible to say the least, but it would need to happen for us to have a realistic chance

And I will keep telling all FSU fans this all offseason as I always do

We can't beat the elite yet, we can beat the shit out of the GayCC and look elite to the untrained eye sure..... but our OL is way too young, inexperienced and frankly.... just way to gay to block any DL with talent

10+ sacks in the spring game and what seemed like a million 1 yard runs was all I needed to see, this OL still effin sucks ass and then drinks the remaining dung..... F*CK YOU TRICKETT!!!!!!

All that said we could keep it close and respectable with USCw and next year we would beat the absolute shit out of them ( Barkley + everybody else leaving = FSU domination in 2013.... after that ?.... well, who cares )

Certainly helped, so did Lattimore going down

Those two play well and that FSU team gets rolled by USCe 9 out of 10 times

We got screwed in that game too though which is something I never see any USCe fan talk about... Ponder was hurt in that game and barely played ( as always with that little bitch ass )

    jmo

Don't care though, I have no cares about FSU's lost decade anymore..... none, we sucked.... Im over it

    I disagree completely.

If Ponder doesn't go down FSU is scoring 30+ on USCe.

And if Lattimore doesn't ? then what ?

We couldn't stop a beast like him back then, VT proved this as all 3 of their RB's ran a train on us a month prior with a typically terrible VT OL

That FSU team was so bad, I would fight Mike Tyson to avoid watching highlights from that year, easily my 2nd most hated FSU team ever

  • LMAO I just looked it up

Their 2 backup RB's had 22 carries for 123 yards ( two guys I have never heard from since ) so, yeah..... Lattimore would have had 200 all purpose by haltime

We also couldn't score at all in that game due to a piss poor offense that was bitched much of the night aside from Thompson going nuts

    5 FG's ? shiiiiit

And why would have Ponder helped that much ? he didn't help against NC St, or OU when they drilled us something fierce

That team was gay as hell T-Noles, thinking otherwise is craziness..... USCe was the better team, things just went our way and we escaped

    But again, that is JMO

No doubt, still pure luck though

He never saw Reid coming and by the time he saw him it was too late

You can say that about a lot of hits. Usually most of the highlight reel hits could be described that way. Ill take whatever highlights I can over the past few years

Of course, all Im saying is that FSU sucked ( they did, there is no denying that much for that was the year OU embarrassed us and we lost to a bunch of shit teams afterwards )

Even lost to a team who lost to JMU at home, and VT killed us that year..... killed us

I still have it out for Ponder cause of that game

Busted Bursa Sac ? lmao, that kid was such a fragile little cupcake... god I hate him

People are already comparing Mcguire to him..... pisses me off for Maguire hasn't proven to be a care bear so until then lets compare him to somebody who is actually good and not heading to the trainers room every 4 seconds

    Rant over, Ponder blows!!!!

Yeah they werent anything special. But that hit and the UF and Miami games were memorable. Brought back some hope for the fanbase. Then they shit down our throats this past year

I like Mcguire not sure why. Maybe because he didnt care that we were bringin in Winston, or maybe because hes from Jersey. But I think he could be a starter one day depending on how things shake out

That and the kid is a boss like Coker

Maguire > Winston and Im pretty confident in that statement

Maguire has a way better arm, that is for sure.... he just can't move like Winston but one being a 3 star and one a high 4/5 is everything that is wrong with recruiting rankings in a nut shell

Not sure why being mobile gives you 2 more stars but whatever

I like to think of him as a Clint Trickett in a grown mans body

Regardless of what happens, he seems like a kid no one is gonna outwork and he wont fold under pressure. Yeah mobile qbs always get a boost now because of the spread option and success of VY, Cam, Griffin, etc. I think Winston is legit though. We have quite a stable of youngsters behind center. Wasnt that long ago that we were looking at Trickett and that horrible left hander who had no business in D1

Yeah Jimbo has saved the QB position at FSU, and taken it to new heights already

We certainly have the best QB depth chart since his arrival now, and its damn good

    I love Coker and Maguire

Trickett is incredible given his physical limitations

And Manuel is eh, don't love him right now but never hated him... he has one more year to win me over for good, I certainly want to be a fan of his and he is no bum like McPherson and Lee so he is a step up compared to where we were prior to his arrival

As for Winston you certainly can't complain about him.... having him is better than not having him, Im just no sure about that kid

He always rubbed me the wrong way and right when I would kinda of like him he would so something else that pissed me off

We will see what he brings to the table, hopefully its a Heisman/Sears trophy and not years of Bama fans laughter for how much he sucks penis

Winston throws some of the best deep balls recruiting has seen in a hot minute. I agree in a way. I think both Winston and Maguire are equally likely to be the guy to come up behind Andrew Luck II, aka Jacob Elway aka Jacob Coker

    fsufsu

  • is this a serious thread? EJ is overrated like to the fullest. I'd say USC by like 21 pts. they are just way better in ever facet. No competition and im sorry FSU fans but saying you have a chance is comical

Wut, where do you come up with this ? I will agree he has a nice touch but he throws a football like a baseball ( big problem and will need to be fixed, bad thing is this asshole thinks he can play both.... maybe he can but he is already crippling how hard its going to be fixing these kind of mechanical problems in terms of muscle memory, especially given the talent he will be up against in not only Maguire but obviously Coker who is my mans and em )

Im not trying to be hating on Winston cause he certainly brings some excitement to the position, Im just very skeptical right now cause the kid needs all kinds of work and it pisses me off he wants to play baseball too

Charlie Ward's/Deion's are very rare, maybe this kid is that kind of talent but I just saw a solid 4 star QB prospect who did some things well and needed work and lots of it in other areas, he never jumped out to me as some can't miss prospect

I heard he has sucked anus in baseball this season as well, not sure if its accurate but why this cat wants to play baseball too is beyond me.... I just don't get it, I want kids 100% committed to FSU football, especially the QB

He also looks like a somalian body builder right now, another thing that will take some time to get right..... dude needs at least 25 pounds, more wouldn't kill him

Kid might be a buck 85, maybe.... needs to be at least 210

Having played both last year I'd day USC +14 at least. Who knows how good/bad FSU's offense will be this year, but I don't think it would be close and yes I know we suck.

This year isn't last year though

Basing your argument on last years games against ND is pretty random bro and very flawed reasoning

Also not sure why you quoted a post about Winston either cool

You saw our OL at its absolute worst, its already better than that group cause of Erving alone

  • As of today USC, but that's only because FSU OL is the unknown. If the progress like Jimbo expects then I just don't see that team losing. The defensive talent and depth along the Dline is crazy/ I dont see any OLine holding up against it. Jenkins and Werner gets all of the attention but the man that will put FSU's dline over the top next year is Jernigan. He's an damn near unblockable 3 technique in pass rush situations.

You obviously have no clue as to the talent FSU has on its campus. If FSU Oline can be slightly above average they will cruise to the MNC game. That schedule is soft as cottonelle, and Va Tech is after a bye week.

    signature image

    why_me

  • Assuming USC doesn't have injury issues that could expose the depth issues at a couple of positions, I would say USC by 6 at the moment. If FSU's OL is much improved though, this could change. To beat USC this year, it will take a great defense and a solid ball control offense that can limit their possessions. Of the teams actually on USC's schedule, I think Stanford and Washington have the best chance of beating them for those reasons. I don't think Oregon can't stop them and USC's defense will force those 1 or 2 mistakes to take control of the game. Would be great to see LSU or Bama vs USC, IMO, as those are the type of defense and ball control teams that could really give them problems and frustrate the offense by keeping them off the field. FSU could be in that same mold though if the OL comes together and EJ limits mistakes.
