if Shane Morris isn't on that list, you guys are a joke. Don't take it personal.

I think you're taking it personal if Shane Morris isn't on that list. They're only naming 9 of the five stars, there will be more to come. If prospects were evaluated solely on their camp performance, then yeah I'm sure Shane would be a lock.

Yeah all of these Michigan fans are getting all obsessive about Shane being a 5*, but that's just insane. He's probably not one of the top 9 prospects in the country yet. I love the guy, but he's not a 5* lock. After the season if he continues to improve, he'll be under consideration for a fifth star. He's a 4/5* guy.

Don't worry, we're getting a very good QB (assuming he lives up to the hype), but he's just not a lock. Us Michigan fans are just being homerish.

  • Robert Nkemdiche and Reuben Foster are locks. Jalin Marshall and Peter Kalambayi should be, but I don't really get that feeling. After them, I'd go with:

    OT Laremy Tunsil
    DT A'Shawn Robinson
    RB Derrick Henry
WR Ricky Seals-Jones (or Richard Benjamin?)

And for the last spot, it could be a whole bunch of guys. Morris has apparently been ruled out, so my guess is there isn't a 5* QB (I still like Swoopes), so then you're looking at either a RB, WR, OL or linebacker, meaning it's maybe one of:

    RB Greg Bryant
    OT DJ Park
    WR Richard Benjamin (or RSJ)
    OLB EJ Levenberry

I'll go with the WR, so Benjamin, but this means there aren't any guys west of Texas, so who knows.

JMO but Levenberry should be a high 4 star, if he is a 5 star then Daniel McMillan should be as well... cause he is better at this stage IMHO.

Good call. I completely forgot about McMillian, here and in the other thread. He, too, is a physical freak. I have him as a fringe 5* on my personal spreadsheet, so it makes some sense.

lol butthurt. I don't really care what Morris is ranked right now. He'll be a high 4*/ 5* type when it's all said and done.

On a side note who are your top targets for 2013?

And that's fine. Good for you guys.

But I have no idea regarding 2013. Too early. Only name that stands out for me right now is Reschke.

  • Those two kids from GA are prolly the best kids I've seen come out of here since I've followed recruiting.

    Big Time 06

  • Derrick Green is 6'0 218 and runs a 4.43 and under. Ran something like 4.33 at PSU camp. Plays like a man possessed as well.

    Not 5 star material haha

  • Jalin Marshall is the best in Ohio.

So...he'll probably be rated a high 3 star.

  • Greg Bryant is good, very good even...but not five-star worthy at this time. If I had to rank the state of Florida for 2013, I'd have Tunsil one followed by Henry at two. Bryant is clearly a top 100 talent...but I'd like to see what he does this season first before anointing him. Plus, it's a very good year for running backs in the state of Florida for 2013. Let's let them figure out the order of how good they are on the field, where it counts.

Is it unrealistic to say that Florida might have as many as 6-7 4* RBs? These are the top guys in no order by my count:

    Derrick Henry
    Greg Bryant
    Kelvin Taylor
    Tarean Folston
    Adam Lane
    AJ Turman
    Lorenzo Woodley

Not unrealistic at all...there are some other good ones who are flying a bit under-the-radar as well too. Fred Coppet at St. Thomas Aquinas, Marcus Dixon from South Daytona Warner Christian, Ryan Green out of St. Pete Catholic, and Raph Webb at Gainesville. All have BCS interest/FCS offers at the present time.

It's not like Florida is ever lacking for prospects at the skill positions. But I don't think I can ever recall the crop of backs being this talented AND deep.
