The Blue Board

Facebook is better than twitter just on how it's set up, but if you've ever watched the South Park episode about facebook that pretty much sums it up.

It's starting to get overrun with little kids too. It's awful. I miss when social networking sites were for teenagers and people in college/in their 20s only.

It's a very simple problem we have as Americans and human beings in general, one that no one cares to fix and 99% of people totally support. The fact is, Facebook prior to becoming an "everyone" social network, back when it had a air of exclusivity, the quality of interactions was much higher. That is a fact, we've all watched it happen; it's been documented. Between immature middle schoolers and technologically illiterate older citizens (no offense to anyone on here), the quality of posts, threads, et al has simply gone down. However, the company has done two things in spite of that fact:

1. They've made more money.
2. People simply aren't quitting.

The problem IMO is that (a) they were making plenty of money beforehand and (b) had a higher quality product. But, as capitalists, point (a) infuriates people because, "There's no such thing as plenty/too much/enough money!!!" And that's why sh!t like this happens to quality products.

I don't have a facebook page and doubt I ever will. I've had buddies pester me to get one and I may eventually make one but I have no need for it that I can see.

I will admit that there seems to be a lot more to it than there used to be as far as games and so on.
