Yeah drafting a FB that you could've got undrafted was odd.
Then an absolutely huge Tackle from Southern Miss but I know nothing about him.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.

BULLSHITTING.
We need a TE to replace Gonzalez & missed out on both Ladarius Green & Orson Charles. Yet he takes a project T in the 2nd round when we could've gotten either one of them . SMH

well to be honest, Matt Ryan needed protection, however I feel like we are doing the same thing we did last year after we lost to the Packers... we tried to copy them and sold the house, farm, and beach house for Julio Jones to be an explosive team... This past year we got stuffed on 4th and short a buttload of times and I think thats what we are doing again... FB, OT, and C.

The Falcons just drafted Jonathan Massaquoi in the 5th, thats a great pick.

Yes I agree he needs protection. Yes, we were pretty bad in short yardage situations. My only problem is we drafted a tackle that probably isn't going to help us win right now. We could've gotten a TE we been coveting but we thought he would fall enough to us when we picked in the 5th

Thats a bit of a stretch but there is no reason he can't be a 8-12 sacks a season type of guy. I think he would have been a late first, early second round guy if he didn't have such a poor junior season.

We could've gotten the Tackle as a UFA too. The FB I don't mind as much because Ovie won't likely be back, so we needed one.
Just a typical case of TD being the smartest guy in the room.

I accidentally caught a Troy game this year & he was underutilized a lot in that scheme. But no doubt he would've been picked way higher if is production didn't drop off

Honestly, it's difficult for fans to like any draft that has just two picks in the first four rounds.
