I'm in banking and everyone here wears flat. Maybe its more of a northern Guido type thing as opposed to a classy southern thing.

Doesn't make one bit of difference if you wear pleats or not, Armani suits or from Walmart....if you keep wearing those funky ass bowl haircuts, or that gelled bangs combed forward thingy...you look like a goober.
It's like wearing dark socks with sandals and tan shorts when you're a sickly white color.
