Yeah you always claim some things. If not it would look suspicious and if I had ever been required to open my bags I would have been
.
I went to Morocco and came back with a 3' by 2' bone chest, vases, large plates, a 6 by 9 rug, some material for throw blankets, and some decorative pillows and managed to fit it all in my big suitcase, hanging bag, and a carry on duffle bag. I remember packing for the return home and my ex-husband saying the whole time that we would have to ship some of it back. The look of complete surprise on his face when I got it all packed was comical. He always used to tell me that watching me unpack all of my stuff from my trips was like watching the clown car at the circus.

1. It does stink, however, you should get used to it. 2. Don't be freaked by the massive amount of stray cats. 3. Don't waste your time at museums... you can see way more stuff on the streets and on the buildings. Museums are a total waste of time. 4. Try to go to Florence... just do it. 5. Tell your wife to cover her shoulders and knees... its disrespectful to enter certain buildings (cathedrals) without being covered. 6. I can get chilly in the fall. 7. Learn as much Italian as you can... Venetians are very proud people, but the will speak English if you show that you are trying to speak their language. They appreciate the effort and will be more than happy to help you. 8. Everything in Venice is expensive as hell...
