This has to be what cost Tredavious White 5* status. He's a 5 on here and Rivals, top 100 on Scout and then we have the ridiculo ESPN ranking of him as like the 17 or 18th best player in LA. They dogged Boutte as well. Joke is what they are. 247 shouldn't give them any credence by including them in the composite. Their rankings horribly skew the overall rankings.

ESPN > Rivals
Its not even close
ESPN has good recruiting analysts, who cares about rankings ? they mean nothing
" OMG can you believe White isn't a 5 star on ESPN, clearly they suck "
You seriously can't be this chomo, then again you have high school dudes in your signature

Not a troll
I like some of ESPN's guys, and considering there isn't one person at Rivals left that I like, Im not sure how ESPN doesn't provide better coverage
ESPN is better, especially for Florida with guys like Dowler, Corey Long and so on
Im just talking about ESPN recruiting, not the whole network

No, I get it. But recruiting isn't big money for ESPN, so they dedicate the least amount of resources to it comparatively speaking. They have some credible guys on there that can recognize talent, but they don't spend near the time or resources that places like 247, Scout, Rivals do. The other 3's rankings are much more accurate IYAM. And I say that thinking Scout is still garbage. Chad Simmons has to be a hobbit.

i would bet money that ESPN has more resources than every site except this one, maybe not Rivals but Rivals sucks
Recruiting isn't big money for any of these places, not many people follow recruiting... I literally have never met anybody else that follows it in real life, not one person and I never shut up about recruiting, my boys have always thought Im crazy because of it
Scout is a total joke these days, I don't even think they care anymore
Rankings is something I pay almost zero attention too, I don't care about that.... I look at them for fun, but they mean next to nothing
Im talking in terms of reading the reports that the guys like JC or somebody like a Corey Dowler put out, in this case ESPN is very solid for the most part and I enjoy their TV show on recruiting
Rankings are rankings and nobody will have a perfect one, there is no way you can win a argument in terms of what sites has the " best " rankings

They have the air time, but in terms of getting people on the ground nationwide and actually doing the scouting and evaluating, no way they're as good as 247 or Rivals, and I don't think they dedicate as many people to it as those guys do.
And I'll be +1'd for the hobbit reference, thank you very much. If I see that no-neck geek try to dress himself up in a 100 dollar suit one more time so he can get on Georgia Public TV during the HS state championship games and self promote, he'll get boat oar'd.

i agree in terms of bodies, but rivals staff effin sucks
they could throw a hundred dudes to every event, the quality still sucks
Only 247 has the work ethic and quality staff, Rivals is just hiring young ass dudes who in large part haven't an effin clue
And many of them are very transparent in terms of how obvious they are when it comes to showing bias
This Woody Womack character might be the biggest ass I have ever read in terms of recruiting
