No. He is a camp phenom that disappears in games when it counts, IMO. I have seen him play in 5 games in person and have never seen him really jump off the field, which you would expect when everyone else on his team would be lucky to get star #3.
If you were implying I am mad he isn't at UGA, that was never going to happen. We never had any interest in him. His dad was a Nerd, he wasn't going to let CL come to Athens.
It doesn't hurt, BLF, regardless of who it comes from. Figured it was only a matter of time before they responded to one of us because you know he has been getting inundated with questioning emails. I expressed the same view to Kipp when the ESPN rankings had him at #5. He asked us all almost the same question, lol. I think most analysts at this point realize there is a disconnect between his ranking and analysts thoughts and what many (non-barn) fans following recruiting see him as.
I think he is Luc Redux, as far as how his play will correlate with his ranking when the dust settles. Maybe a bit better, but JMO.

I am not a Bama Fan or an Auburn Fan...like and respect both schools but wouldn't consider myself a fan. Most on the board by now know that I am a fan and supporter of Tyren Jones who just happens to be going to Bama. I have seen Milton play at least 4-5 times over the last 3 seasons (which would be since Lawson was a freshman) and saw them twice last year. I say with all sincerity that until Tyren started to become a nationally known recruit and I started following the recruiting services and message boards, I had no idea who Lawson was. Not once did I come away from a Milton game asking or commenting about their stud defensive lineman. I commented each year how Milton looked great in pre-game in terms of the size and athletic look of their team.[ I guess Dick Vitale would call them the all-airport team.] But not once during or after a game did I say, wow that defensive lineman from Milton was beast. And this was not just against Walton, I saw Milton play several other teams as well, just happend to see them twice against Jones team last season. The kid may very well be a 5* and I am 100% certain that the 247 staff knows more about evaluating players than I do...BUT...as a high school football fan that has watched the kid play not knowing who he was, he never ever jumped out. By comparison, if anyone who was a casual observer at those games saw for instance Jones or Kublanow, they would have been asking, "who the heck was the RB or OL". They were dominant. That to me is the sign of a true 4 or 5 star kid....a casual observer couldn't help but notice them during the course of the game as an athlete that just seems better than the rest of the kids on the field.

Some Bama fans. I'm not bothered. I think the kid's going to be good. There is always some kids that aren't as driven when they are 16 years old and develop into beasts. Most of us should have seen this coming a few months ago. He's going to be a really good one. Glad you won't have him and Lemonier together.
If anything, I think the UGA fan has been the most......what is the word you kids use these days......butthurt!
Tell GONIG I said hey and Go Blue.

I guarantee you would never be able to watch a Reuben Foster game or Nkemdiche game and not be asking who the heck was that kid if you did not know who they were already....they stand out. For whatever reason, Lawson has never stood out in the handful of games that I have seen him play. Solid and likely great SEC player which answers why all the offers...but again, a 5* player IMO is one you just couldn't miss on the field.
