he'd have been pretty educated. texas was a straw house going into 2010. i'm not going to break it all down for you, but feel free to go back and look at the attrition from the 2006 and 2007 recruiting classes, especially on the offensive line. that team was an injury or two away from complete failure and we got those, and the failure.
to say that the current texas team has any kind of potential to win only 7 games, or 5, as the post above may or may not suggest (some say he's referring to tennessee, but the post is directly following a texas poster talking about texas), is complete idiocy. the texas defense will be top 5 caliber overall w/ the best secondary in the nation and the best tandem of defensive ends in the nation. the offensive line issues have been shored up and we've got a fantastic stable of running backs in brown, bergeron and gray. our qb won't be a true frosh thrown to the wolves and the entire offense will be in the 2nd year of harsinwhite's system.
i'm not predicting a conference championship or a 10 win season here - i'm just saying a 7 win season w/ the talent, depth and coaching we currently have is complete and utter nonsense.
tennessee, on the other hand...i could definitely see that.
