  • Why is Oregon looking better for Wilson after the Urban Meyer visit? He usually has the opposite effect.

I think he meant Helfrich's visit.

Was told it may not have gone as well as expected. That from a source very close to Wilson's recruitment. Time will tell - the official visit being the key IMO.

    lol Well done.

Explain yourself GH,what makes u think J.Ram is choosen FSU over SC ? when all things being equal i.e.hiring and firing of DC and Asst, coaches,he would change his mind after SC put him on the map and being committed to SC for just about a yr.

Cause FSU hired a DC that already knows Ramsey and has been recruiting him. Ramsey isn't going to USC. I don't know where he is going, but a lot of people have said it isn't going to be USC for a while.

You're thinking like a Cali guy...these kids in the SEC never leave their region...some have never left their county or state - or been on an airplane. Just because our people are from all over the country, but these kids are more prone to change their minds and stay closer to home. It happens.

By the way, Leonard's mama is from Cali, she let him make his own choice, but believe me...she placed education first, loved USC and was confident that his talent would get him to the next level no matter where he went to school.

Williams was between Auburn and FSU not UF. UF was trying to keep Williams away from FSU by having Fowler flip at the last minute and not giving FSU enough time to try and bring him in and they were successful. NA hurt but he wasn't feeling Pease and didn't develop a connection with him so he picked USC. Oh well, doesn't look like either made a great decision. How many decommits has USC had this year? Like 6 or 7?

LOL..I'd love to see how well your university would do under heavy sanctions with 30 less scholarships than anyone else (not even Bama had that many - 21) a 7-6 season, change in defensive coordinator...and the most hated HC in CFB. Our six EE are all highly ranked recruits, attending class except for one that hasn't been cleared yet.

Some players commit to the school..

ok my little mis -informed friend, decommits by who the school or the player is the question? you should know how the game is played? your in SEC country. let's just say ''upgrades'' are on the way. I suggest you take a closer look at who you called decommits.compared to what or who will or have replaced them. i'll give you the 1st one LMIII for M.Redfield ,you figure out the rest. I'm sure you have been lurking on the SC site like everyone else..

Has Urban lost his mojo?? First, Vonn Bell has a bad visit with the Buckeyes, now this??

I have been on the Wilson not signing with Oregon wagon for a while. Let me just say that Oregon is looking a little better following the Urban Meyer visit - from what a source at DeSoto High said today.

    We shall see.

Texas also trying, but I still think he wants to get away for college.

I know our fan base has been all over you about this but I appreciate you posting what you've heard/seen.

I'm optimistic about him but he's clearly giving other schools a legit shot. That alone shows he's not as solid as our fan base likes to think.

I will say this, though. SC needs to come correct on their in home with Ramsey or it could be a wrap.

What is the reasoning behind your assumption that he will flip to Ohio St? Is it simply Meyer's ability to recruit? The way Oregon will be able to use him has got to be more appealing than what tOSU has to offer. We have a fairly good track record over the last four years of utilizing smaller backs to their optimal capacity and then sending them on to the NFL. It sounds like Urban wants him in the slot (i.e. Percy Harvin) rather than in the backfield. I've got to imagine the oppurtunities to carry the ball more at Oregon would be appealing, especially since there are 60 carries a game to spread around. We also have a desirable depth chart (losing Barner; only Marshall, DAT, and fellow recruits as competition). That on top of the fact that he has described his relationship with Gary Cambpell as "like a 2nd father", or "like one of my best friends". Further it also sounds like our "army of coaches" visit went really well. Why should Oregon fans not be confident? Your source seems to be his Highschool coach and not the family?

Just a thought on that.... What could have happened was that OSU told him they wanted him at RB at first, but after bringing Elliott in and promising he'd be the only RB, they are trying to sell Wilson on being a slot guy.

Personally I think Elliot stays at OSU and Wilson stays with Oregon, but we'll see.

Well if he is so solid why is he visiting OSU this late in the game, not saying he is going to flip but it is a possibility based on him opening the door.

Tennessee, I think remains a possibility. Also interested to see how much Auburn tries pushes here late.

Obviously, Mississippi State gets their shot.

I have no beef with the USC program. I actually like it, minus the coach.

BUT...I'm sure Nelson and Leonard were super pumped on their choice while watching UF go 11-2 while USC went 7-6. Too funny!
