Florida @ Tennessee game thread

UF one trick pony show is the run game that's dependent on RB with a groin injury. TN will stack the box. You think Florida is going to win the game throwing? Not this season.

Dude we can move the ball by doing what GSU did last week and I'll take our suspect WR/TE against your DB anyday. They made JB look like a NFL QB the last 2 season. lol

You're stuck in last year. I just checked ESPN. We're third in the SEC in rushing yards. That puts us above Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, and even Bama. And unlike Florida, we have depth at RB. Neal and Lane may not be as good as Gillislee, but at least if either one goes down our entire offense doesn't go out the window.

You put up stats against NCState and 1-AA south and even with a bad nut Mike G is better than those Big east Rb on your roster.

  • I don't want to be a dick because I respect Dooley and don't really hate UT like I should, but I have to go with UF until UT proves they can beat someone with a pulse. I'll save my being amazed by Bray and the offense until he does against a respectable defense

Nobody was calling NCState bad before we beat them. In fact, all of the ESPN writers picked NCState to win. Just because we beat them convincingly doesn't make them a bad team. See Cincinnati from last year.

And Florida's stats are against a MAC school and a defense that the BiG 12 shredded last year. Besides if our run games get established, Florida will lay down and cramp anyway lol

fumble issues aren't fixed just bc of 2 games.

And neither is UF's passing game

I don't think they were saying NC State was good as much as UT is/was bad

  • I still don't understand how UF's corners match up well with Hunter and Patterson.... the biggest issue is their size. I think UF has one guy in their secondary over 6 ft. Hunter and Patterson are 6'4" and 6'3" respectively and both have major hops. How are the florida dbs going to defend the big receivers? We also have a 6'4" TE.

I've heard this from Florida fans by the way. But they never give any real reason. They just say that your corners match up well and have good cover skills. These are pretty much the same group from last year, right?

Roberson and Watkins are 6'0 and LP and Evan are 6'1/6'2...lack of size where? UF is bigger at DB than UT.

UF also has a 6'4 and 6'5 TE and your LB and S want no part of Reed one on one or the open field. ESPN highlight waiting to happen

Lots of this for Bray again Sat.

Ok, my bad. So you have 2 guys over 6 ft. and neither of those are corners. And the guys behind them are all 5'9" and 5'10" from what I can see. Do you think they plan on double teaming Hunter or Patterson?

And as for our DBs, they don't have to cover 6'4" receivers. The only possible mismatch I can see is Jordan Reed. And all of our guys that play are at, above, or near 6 ft. Wagner is 6' 2". Except Eric Gordan who plays our nickle. Gordan is more the size of your guys.

And Brent Brewer is a good candidate to cover the big guys like Reed and whoever. He's 6'2" safety and around 220.

I believe it was Pollack and Reece Davis said they have an outside shot of winning on one of the preview shows. I've slepted since then. Nobody said they were sane or correct...

Are they going to play the entire game? That's slim pickens. I keep hearing about Elam and Brown too so I'm assuming these are the two main backups at their positions. Good athletes and all but not big guys. I just don't see this "good" match up I keep hearing from Florida fans.
