Are they going to play the entire game? That's slim pickens. I keep hearing about Elam and Brown too so I'm assuming these are the two main backups at their positions. Good athletes and all but not big guys. I just don't see this "good" match up I keep hearing from Florida fans.

Elam is the starting safety. Brown started against UT in '10, and has been injured since that season. He came back last week.

Roberson starts, and barring injury, will play the whole gm. Watkins will probably start. Purifoy will play a bunch as his backup.

Either way, if UT wins, it wont be because "the recivers are taller." The winner of the UF/UT gm has always been the team the wins the rushing battle. Heck, thats pretty much known throughout all the conference gms.

And UT has 6 guys that play or may play at WR/TE that are OVER 6 ft. 6"1-6'5". The physical match ups are not in UF's favor. We also have Hunter who is legit 4.4, Patterson who is legit 4.4 maybe even 4.3, Zach Rogers who is legit 4.4.... size and speed. I'm just looking for a gator fan who can give me a reason why their corners match up well to our receivers. Is it because of the Gators' corner's ability to hold, pass interfere, and cramp up?

You put up stats against NCState and 1-AA south and even with a bad nut Mike G is better than those Big east Rb on your roster.

Considering you all haven't put up stats in either game I don't think you want to go down that route.

Well your Florida brethren is extremely confident in stopping our passing attack because of this "good" match up. I just don't understand why it has been brought up like it has. I agree with you about the running game. BUT as far as that stat that was put out about the team with the most rushing yards winning so often, I believe that's a little skewed due to the fact that the team that is winning will be running the ball a lot more later in the game than the team that's down. So of course the winning team will almost always have more rushing yards.

Unless of course that stat was broken down to first half stats or something. If so then it would hold much more legitimacy.

What are Bray's career numbers against the SEC?

Thats where my confidence comes from.

Roberson and Watkins are 6'0 and LP and Evan are 6'1/6'2...lack of size where? UF is bigger at DB than UT.

UF also has a 6'4 and 6'5 TE and your LB and S want no part of Reed one on one or the open field. ESPN highlight waiting to happen

Lots of this for Bray again Sat.

I asked this question on our board an no one could answer, but where in the works is UFs supreme pass rush going to come from? You do realize we only allowed 13 sacks all of last year right? This line has not changed for the worse. Not to mention your DBs will have their hands full in coverage, not seeing where the extra help on the rush will come. Surely you don't think your front 3-4 will do it themselves?!

Corrine Brown - Go Gata (with Subtitles)

U.S. Congresswoman Corrine Brown gradulates the University of Florida Gatas on their third national tyla, second tyla under Corch Irvin Meyers. This is what she had intended to say: I rise today to congratulate my University of Florida football team for winning their second NCAA BCS Championship bowl game in the last three seasons. Go Gators! I want to congratulate the University of Florida not only for being a great academic school but also one of the best athletic schools in the country. In their 24-14 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners, they displayed great teamwork and sportsmanship while fielding the best defense I've ever seen. They held the highest scoring offense in the country to just 14 points! The Gators proved that the University of Florida's season was no fluke and that the Florida Gators are a championship team that made history. Congratulations to their great players and outstanding coach, Urban Meyer, for coaching a remarkable group of guys! Let's do a quick fact check: The Gators have won their second national championship in the past three years and the third in the school's history. Florida is the fourth school in the modern era to win two outright national titles in a three year period. Florida finished the 2008 season with a 13-1 record, matching the single-season school record for wins. Tim Tebow became the fifth player since 1950 to win a Heisman Trophy and two national championships. The win makes Urban Meyer the fifth active coach with multiple national titles and the fifth coach since the AP Poll began in 1936 to win two national championships in his first four seasons at a school. Tim Tebow, Florida's leader and quarterback, not only ran for 109 yards but also completed 18 of 30 passes for 231 yards. He was flawless in the fourth quarter alone, when it mattered the most and the pressure was on. Percy Harvin, whose gutsy play won him the game ball, came back from an ankle injury and dashed for 122 yards on only nine carries. It was his 52-yard run down the stretch that set up Jonathan Phillips' 27-yard field goal early in the quarter for a 17-14 lead, which the Gators never lost. And they never looked back! There has been some discussion in this body about having a national championship playoff. Let me be clear: we've had a playoff! The Gators played in the best conference in the country and emerged victorious. And I hate to say it, but everything is just not all equal. We want to encourage all of our kids to participate in sports and activities because we know that it builds character. But it is clear that the Gators are superb to any other schools in the country and in the conference that we play in. In closing, I want to leave you with the Gator chant that I just love: "One, two, three, four, five, them there Gators don't take no jive!"

Dooley took LaTech to a bowl game and won. They went 8-5 or 9-4 that year. Not much their to argue your point, but he has actually had a winning season.

  • Bray is lethal and his WR's are lethal and i imagine they'll put up number just like last year.

The problem is, last year Tennessee couldn't run the football at all and that cost them the game. Florida was up 30-7 at one point, the game wasn't as close as the final score showed.

    Tennessee's offense vs UF's D

    Florida's offense vs Tennessee's D

I think Florida has the advantage but Tennessee is a big question mark. Will they fold like last year after their big win over Cincinnati, or have they actually improved.

Vol fans said the same crap last year and they lit up Cincinnati.

NC State just beat UCONN by 3 points, they're not a great team.

    Florida hasn't looked good either.
