Oh, so now only certain SEC games count? Gotcha. We need to recalculate our stats until you are satisfied with them. We'll get right on that. sarcasm

Went way over your head there, huh?

    Solid Defensive Strategy IMO.

    Nope.

I think -9 yds rushing and throwing the ball 48 times is even better.

I think I've got it covered...you don't want to deal with our overall stats, so you shoot for SEC only. When you can't handle those stats, you cherry pick which SEC teams Bray's stats "count" against. Easy peasy.

  • At Florida he threw for 288 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs. With 54.2% completions.

Against UGA he threw for 251 yards, 0 TDs 0 INTs, with 54.5% completions. This was in about 3 quarters though. He was injured in that game.

And of course the rest you know that he didn't play against and I see your point. But Florida isn't Bama, LSU, SC, or the Arky of the past few years..

Also, every QBs stats will suffer against those teams. If Bray had played against them I'm sure he would have been one of the better performers. Not a good performer, but one of the better ones.

Have you seen our offinsive line's run blocking? We are defiantly not good enough to rush for -9 yards on the ground.........yet.

Just glad we can pass protect....

But, give the avgs against UF, UGA, LSU, Bama, USCe, and Arky.

He's never started against LSU, Bama, USCe, or Arkansas...

There are no starts versus those opponents, but he did play in those games in 2010.
UT vs. UGA - 8-12 for 81 yards. No td's and no int's
UT vs Bama - 5-14 for 39 yards. No td's and 1 int
    UT vs. USCe - 9-15 for 159 yards. 2 td's and 1 int.

    22-41 (54%) for 279 yards. 2td's and 2 int's.

Even for a true freshmen those aren't bad numbers.

UF will get a ST touchdown vs UT from a block punt or kickoff return.

UT is a one trick pony...play-action throw deep and UF will take that away and make Bray check down and bait him into forcing a big throw.

Your running game is stil bottom 3 in the SEC. Neal fumbles and Lane thinks he's a 180 pound scatback.

Actually I believe UT is top 3 as of right now in the run game.

  • Why do the Florida fans base this years Tennessee team to last years team? It's a whole different year, team, coordinators, and scheme. Our team is a whole year OLDER,SMARTER,BIGGER,DEEPER,and FASTER, so you can't say this is the same team as last year but you can say it has most of the same starters which is the #1 reason we are better than last year. I think they are a little worried that we are better, and for good reason, now I don't think the gators are a bad team, and I think it will be tough because no matter how good we are we always have issues with the gators here's to hope we have better luck this year. GO VOLS!!!!!

I love your enthusiasm, but "Pig" won't be much a factor in this game, especially with Devrin and CP as the top two options at kick returner. I also think any kick beyond 40/42 range will either be by Palardy, or 4 down territory.

    Ok.

    C. Patterson, D. Young, and R. Neal all run sub 4.4 and I believe Q. Watson does as well.

Im going to go ahead and jump in on this. UT is a whole different team this year mainly on D, last year we never attacked and this year with Sal thats what they do, i dont think this game is gonna be a blowout but wouldnt be suprised if it was for these reasons. UF is beat up, your RB has a groin injury which you dont really know how bad it is till he makes some cuts, your best player on D is out and your passing game sucks so therfore our LBs (the best part of our D) will not have to worry about the pass and focus on the run.

Didn't know Floyd and Elam were out Sat.

I'm sure you LB will have to work against Burton(has scored on UT every year) and Reed at HBack and TE...advantage UF bc none of your LB are covering them 1 on 1.

Bingo. All UF has to do is get to the 35 and Sturgis can kick 50 yarders all day. Tenneesee can't kick field goals which is why I think UF wins. UF did a pretty good job covering Rodgers last year and I think they can cover Patterson fine. All depends on UT run game, if they suck at running the ball like last year UF is going to blitz the heck out of Bray.

Field goals won't win a game when the Vols are scoring TDs in less than 110 second average.

I hope you know only like 10 players at the NFL combine ran 4.4 or below. I doubt Tennessee has 3 players that run a 4.4 or better.

We have 6 players with laser timed 4.4 or better...one a true 4.3 and one 4.35

All the gata nation is looking at Vol teams of the past and not considering that CDD has been recruiting size AND speed the last two years. A lot of freshmen played the last two years and have much game-speed experience that was not there in 2009/2010.

Your secondary only had to deal with one receiver last year after Hunter went down on the 4th play from scrimmage and took his 28.5 ypc to surgery. Go ahead and talk for the next two days because the streak ends Saturday night.

I know this will be a hard fought game, as the UT/FU games should be...I hope everyone comes out without major injury. Let's give our kids/ your kids all the support a fanbase should even though FU did have to return 13,000 tickets (really lame). Those few that do believe enough in your program to come to the game will find hospitality and good tailgating.

See you next year in The Swamp.

Uhhhh you think those times are real? LOL! You can say all you want about 40 times but UF used to say kids run 4.2s and 4.3s and they were "laser times" then they showed up to the combine and ran 4.45 and 4.5. Tennessee might have fast players but they don't have 3 or 4 guys running 4.4 or below.

If you think UT has 6 guys running a 4.4 or better then you must think these times are also true.

  • I'm really confused as to how UF fans can honestly say that their secondary is up to par with UT's receivers. I believe that battle goes to the UT receiving corps, especially on paper. Now when it comes to UT offense vs UF defense, overall, that is a different monster all together. If UT can't run the ball this year (and not because of that terribly flawed statistic about who rushes better wins), then we're going to be in trouble. UF obviously has great athletes on the defensive side of the ball and if they are allowed to pin their ears back on the D-line, Bray might have a long day. There are so many variables that can determine the outcome of this game. In case everyone forgot, Tennessee has a defense and Florida has an offense. Either way, it's going to be a barn burner and I for one cannot wait. GBO

And UF's defense had 3 of those 13, 2 int, and allowed -9 yds rushing.

This was done with 4 first time starters in the 2ndary (including a true fr), all playing in a brand new scheme, under brand new coordinators, a brand new head coach, and an offense that ranked dead last in the NCAA possessions/gm.

That's valid. That's why establishing a run game is do important. I think we will see a difference this year.

Valid points but UF got "OLDER,SMARTER,BIGGER,DEEPER,and FASTER" also. We don't have the star power at WR but Reed, Gilly, Patton and Burton are playmakers and all have had very good games against UT before. Our staff has also been together for 2 season compared to one offseason and 2 games. All are factors that many are overlooking.
