Florida didnt sell their allotment?

Say it ain't so. Florida is supposedly the greatest team on turf. 7k tickets sold out of 17,500 is pretty poor. Louisville sold more tix. I guess UF should have made the NC game......

Not going to lie, we played Utah in the Sugar Bowl in 08' and I had a free ticket and a free place to stay and I didn't want to go. Teams like that just aren't very big draws and not worth vacation days this close to a holiday break.

Pretty much this. Not to mention a lot of people buy tickets off of Stub Hub for half the price that you can buy them through the university.

Exactly. I get 12 vaca days a year, my aunt lives 4 miles from Sun Life Stadium but it wasn't worth taking Monday and wednesday off to go to the game.

This whole making University buy tickets, then sell them. Is a horrible tactic. Why not just have the venue, or ticketmaster sell them, and let there be three sections. One of each team, and one for mixed. It's pretty bad if you ask me.

same as us. nothing to see here. stubhub has cheaper tickets in better sections than what the universities get.
shit matchup + high ticket prices = people not buying them from the school. i cant fault UF fans for not being enthusiastic about playing louisville

Then the NCAA wouldn't make money from the Universities on unsold tickets. Its a scam, really.
NCAA knows that most people will buy through 3rd party websites because its cheaper that way. Luckily, the Big 12 conference covers unsold tickets, instead of the University.

I don't believe the NCAA has anything to do with it. It's the bowl committees.
