I hope that if you voted for Obama last time that you got the "change" that he sold to all of you

I was 17 during the last election. But I have been pretty happy with the last four years.

Obama has a slight lean, but Obama has barely started campaigning whereas Romney and the Republicans have been doing so since Obama's innauguration.

Obama will embarass Romney in the debates.

I thinking Romney is pretty intelligent and will hold up well in the debates. However, Romney has basically been campaigning for 4 years and still is behind, while like you said Obama has not yet begun to truly campaign and has poured a lot of money this year into grassroots organizations(really a campaign strength of his going back to his community organizer days) whose true effect will be seen closer to election day.

Define behind? It is pretty close unless you are going by that Bloomberg poll that targeted more black people

Are you really trying to argue someone shouldn't vote for a politician again because he didn't make do on 100% of his promises?

Or are you trying to argue that his "change" wasn't your "change"?

Typical Dems trying to still blame Bush

He's been deemed the worst president ever by practically every non-partisan study ever done on the subject. He presided over the worst economic downturn in our country since the Great Depression. He took a surplus and turned it into a $1.4 trillion deficit. Obama hasn't been perfect, but he's been doing the best he can with the mess he was handed.

I'm not trying to argue that at all. I just hope he gave all of you that "change" that he promised you

-Romney's record. Romney has a defined history of flip-flopping to fit whatever audience he's currently pandering to. How do we, as the American people, know that he'll do anything he promises to do?

-Romney's healthcare plan. It conveniently doesn't exist, because it's already been implemented. Romney has no alternative plan to implement if he succeeds in overturning the ACA.

-Romney's tax plan. Romney's tax plans are even more regressive than George W. Bush's - all they would do is further increase wealth disparity and the class divide that already plagues the U.S.

-Romney's foreign policy. 3/4 of Romney's foreign policy advisors are holdovers from George W. Bush's team. We can pretty much all agree that Bush's foreign policy misadventures were spectacular failures that only resulted in wild overspending and far too many dead American soldiers. The last thing we want is a repeat of 2000-08 in that department, unless we actually want 4,000 more dead Americans.

Look at the electoral map that was posted earlier. Obama is ahead in EVs and is winning most of the battleground states(including the big states like Ohio, Florida, and Virginia). The fact that the polling is even close in NC is not good for Romney and I don't think he can afford to lose Virginia.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Yes, Bin Laden is dead. Obama gave the order authorizing the mission that killed him after Bush couldn't do it for his entire tenure in office.

Actually I blame that idiot Reagan... Problems don't start or get fixed during presidency... People talk shit about Obama but they just want a goat to put everything on. Honestly, Obama has done more to fix this country than I expect any Republican to give him credit for. Get off this partisan crap and realize there were a lot of dumb policies done by both sides throughout the last 32 years that have caused a situation that will take way longer than 4 years to fix. Its going to take a real plan that is going to be enacted for a long time to fix. I think Bush was a freaking idiot but I don't blame it on him. I blame him for not having the intelligence to enact policies that would begin to fix the problem. Obama has done what he can with what he can in the time he had been in office and even if you don't agree with him it would be stupid of any of us to blame him for the problems. I honestly don't see any differences from what we already had. I've always been poor. The people complaining aren't even the people that should care.

No need for me to look at it. I'm taking another govt/politics class right now and it is very close. Hell my professor isna Dem and he even admits it will be very close.

He did, he reformed health care, brought us out of a recession, furthered gay rights, ushered in new EPA regulations to cut down on carbon emissions, brought American soldiers home while still eliminating important terrorists, successfully intervened in Libya with the support of the Arab and International community.

  • Well if your community college professor says it, it must be true...the popular vote may be close, hell the electoral vote may even be close, but that doesn't mean Romney has a good chance of winning.

  • I'm confused what I'm supposed to be SO disappointed in. Let's see: ending both wars, essentially endorsing same-sex marriage and helping to repeal DADT, health-care reform that is there (personally don't think it was good enough, but in the sense it didn't do more), immigration moves (both recent deportation policy, border policy, and DREAM act), foreign policy etc. etc.

The real mixed bag is the economy, but given this was the deepest recession since the 1930s and he had to work against arguably the most partisan congresses in each half of his first term and a more integrated and global exposure to foreign economic problems. Historically speaking it should have and probably will take YEARS to recover from a deep housing crisis of systemic proportion. We've had the best PRIVATE sector job growth outt of a recession of any president since Reagan. If public sector unemployment just flattened post-stimulus the unemployment rate would probably be between 6-7% at the moment.

This has ZERO to do with some systemic policy change to socialism or a command economy or any of that bullish.

Throw-in the fact that I have to choose between Romney and Obama appointees, I'll lean with the latter.

To be honest though, I won't stress is Romney wins. Hate to break it to conservatives in here, but Romney is WAY more likely to rule in the center, if not a perceived center-left than center-right or right.

Probably won't be much different. See the video for example.

I just see it more probably( but not likely) that Romney rules right than Obama, so that's about the sum of it.
