Florida to defy Obamacare, won't implement.....

Naw just when I have more time. Trying to play Xbox

You're going to have more time sometime in the future? That seems counterintuitive to me as later on you will be closer to dying so then wouldn't you actually have less time. Will you ever have more time than you have right now?

The Feds will implement the exchanges where the states don't I assure you. I am not at all a fan of Obamacare, but I see not implementing it will probably ultimately be bad for the states that don't. Such as they won't have the control over parts of it etc. also the Feds are pretty vindictive.

Unfortunately it's the law now, so the states are wasting their time by not implementing it, it's not going to do anything to stop it.

How will the socialist public run health care system that Obama is implementing affect the amount of Alabama medical hardships? We really need DavidDee to weigh in on this...

  • Essentially Obama has 225 electoral votes locked up. Romney has about 175.

Obama just needs to win 45 of the remaining 150 to get to 270. If he can win Florida, where he leads, he will only need 15 or so of the remaining 120 to win.

Obama is getting another 4 years folks. It doesn't matter how badly some people hate him, he will still win the election.

Yes they will. Part of the SC's ruling is that Congress can not pull back their Medicare benefits if the opt-out of Obamacare.

It's not legally a tax. If it were a tax, there would've been no standing for anyone to bring suit regarding the case, since not a single person has been "taxed" yet. The Supreme Court just found that Art. I, Sec. 8, Cl. 1, otherwise known as the "Taxing and Spending Clause" gave Congress the power to pass the ACA and the individual mandate. While it was passed due to Congress' "Taxing Power," the individual mandate is not the same as any other tax that is levied, and is not subject to the same rules and restrictions on normal taxes.

Yes, it is. Once John Roberts defined it as a tax, it is a tax. Period, end of story. Doesn't matter what your precious traitor president thinks or says, it is a tax once the SC said it was.

then they should have all federal funding pulled. that goes for any other state thats does it also.

That is illegal. SC specifically said they cannot do that. That was part of them ruling that this was a tax and not legal under the Commerce clause. He castrated the law when he did that.

Obama has a slight lean, but Obama has barely started campaigning whereas Romney and the Republicans have been doing so since Obama's innauguration.

Obama will embarass Romney in the debates.

You have obviously never seen Obama debate. Easily his weakest ability as a politician. Well that and doing what is the best interests of his country.

Exactly. Obama has been digging, but not the way these starry-eyed children think. That hole is MUCH deeper now than it was when Bush left office and it is all Obama's fault.

Then you also have his treasonous selling out of the SeALS, the white house leaks, his fast and furious initiative, etc. The man needs to be impeached and tried for high treason.

The Supreme Court never legally defined it as a tax. They only said that Congress had the power to pass this act under Congress' own "Taxing Power." There is no "Period, end of story."

I understand that you may have some difficulties comprehending exactly how the law works, but trust me when I say that every Constitutional scholar in the U.S. would tell you the exact same thing I just did.

When he confined it to the "power to tax", he made it a tax. There is no other way for Congress to implement it. Seems I am not the one who has difficulty here. You can't seem to deal with the fact that this is now a tax, exactly what your president has spent 2 years swearing that it wasn't.

    1. How exactly did he "sell out the SEALs"?

    2. Which White House leaks are you referring to?

    3. Have you read the Fortune piece exposing exactly what happened in the entire "Fast and Furious" scandal? Spoiler alert: it doesn't fit into the Republican narrative that Darrell Issa has been harping on for months. As it turns out, the "whistleblower" was actually the only person from the ATF to actively encourage the "walking" of guns across the border, and the vast majority of the problems with gun trafficking are primarily due to Arizona's gun laws. Multiple ATF agents dispute the Republican narrative. See attached article.

A Fortune investigation reveals that the ATF never intentionally allowed guns to fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. How the world came to believe just the opposite is a tale of rivalry, murder, and political bloodlust. By Katherine Eban

"When he confined it to the "power to tax", he made it a tax." No. This is not how the Constitution works. As I explained earlier, by permitting the passage of this act under the "Taxing and Spending Clause," SCOTUS did not create a new tax to be levied in the traditional definition of a tax. Please show me the legal argument for why "there is no other way for Congress to implement it."
