Interesting to say the least it looks like USA Today is trying to assume that Ronald Powell, Dominique Easley and Western Kentucky safety Jonathan Dowling could have receive illegal benefits from being on a Yacht with Sharrif's new dad.

Yeah but you can't lie. It's a real grade school mentality with that set of rent-a-cops...do what you want and if you are honest and don't make our jobs hard, we won't take your entire recess away.
USC and Ohio State both got harsher penalties because of their approach to the investigation. Makes no sense, but the NCAA is run by self-serving academics who have little concept if the real world or common sense.
In fact, I would not be surprised if someone somewhere in that organization had a cultural bias against tattoos and was out for blood regardless.

I think the USA Today is trying to fish for a story. Does it look shady with Floyd yes, but he ran it past the Florida Compliance.
The media is running with it because it throws up a red flag when you are talking about a man that his own school in South Carolina disassociated him, and you are talking about lavish trips, 2012 Explorers and Yacht's.
One thing that is interesting is that it could create NCAA Loopholes and theirs nothing they can do about it.

Yeah I know the story there. The guy has always just tried to help kids and Sharrif didn't have much of a home life.
I respect a guy like this who is independently wealthy with a big heart much more than some of the clowns who insert themselves in players' lives for selfish monetary gain. I mean, Kevin Lahn is a multi-millionaire. He's not worried about Sharrif Floyd supporting him one day.
What's funny is some of these cats that are in it to make a buck are so ignorant about the sport (take the guy that was "helping" Bryce and Arthur Brown, for example) that they end up hindering a player's development and thus cost the player $$$ in the long run.

Correct.
USC honestly felt that it did nothing wrong and the admin didn't know anything about the situation.
tOSU knew about it, lied about it, and tried to cover it up. And still only got a slap on the wrist.

He was adopted at 20??? Bullshit. They're cheating their balls off.
It's not like this kid was 11 years old and in a bad situation.
Leave him alone?? He has a FREE education and ALL the good food he wants to eat. Kid is a man. He's 20. Make decisions on your own.
NCAA should bring down the hammer on Florida for this....
