Football article help needed- Luck and RGIII

  • Okay guys, I'm doing a project and I need any articles you can find that describe how Andrew Luck or RGIII play.

I don't need stats, I need descriptive language about their play- things like 'smart', 'athletic', 'intelligent.'

I've been looking through ESPN's Big 12 Blog and PAC 12 Blogs but it's slow going, so I was hoping TBB might have something to help me or be willing to help me search.

And while I can't pay anyone for their aid, I'll be happy to upvote every post that provides me with a quote about either along with the URL the article is located at.

    Thank you.

  • Looking for a bias? Interesting premise. I haven't seen much of the negativity as before regarding highly-rated black QBs. Perhaps you'll have better luck as it gets closer to the draft. I'm sure somebody will do a hit piece just to stand out.

Hadn't realized any of this till you mentioned it.

  • Anything at all that describes them would be great. I'm going in to compare what was written about them in 2011 to compare it to previous works on the subject.

  • As far as physical skills go, Griffin III is a stud.

Griffin's foot speed and arm strength are both phenomenal.

    This what your looking for?

Take your pick: Matt Flynn or Robert Griffin III? | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports

Read 'Take your pick: Matt Flynn or Robert Griffin III?' from our blog Shutdown Corner on Yahoo! Sports. The franchise tag deadline came and went with Matt Flynn, the Packers' backup quarterback, as expected, not being tagged. Now, unless the Packers reach a long-term deal with Flynn before March 13 (which is extremely unlikely), Flynn, at age 26, … Continue reading →

Yes, that is definitely helpful. They call Griffin a 'stud' which helps.

  • Who is a current black quarterback that is a pro-style passer?

That gets a fair amount of media coverage?

    TalHawkins112

  • Griffin is an impressive all-around athlete and isn?t afraid to run and use his world-class speed if the situation calls for it, but he?s a pass-first quarterback with above average arm strength ? his on-field swagger and winning attitude is contagious. He has shown outstanding progression as a passer since his freshman year, but he needs to improve his pocket presence, looking to make too many of his throws outside the pocket ? still far from a finished product and needs to continue his development.

Griffin has the skill-set and intelligence to thrive in any offense, but all of his experience comes from a spread, quick-strike formation. He has only adequate height and overall frame so durability is a concern because of his propensity to take a lot of hits, but he?s extremely tough. Griffin is very confident and a first-class individual that will endear himself to pro teams. He is still unpolished in several aspects of his game, but there is something special about him, flashing some of the same clutch, field-general qualities Cam Newton did last season ? a natural throwing the ball with better than expected passing traits and a knack for making plays. Griffin is the clear-cut second QB in this draft class and will hear his name in the top-10 picks of the draft, possibly as early as the #2 overall selection.

I'm going to stop copy and pasting because theres another 4 or 5 paragraphs.

  • This is all that the same sight has on Luck

Path cleared for Luck's landing in Indy: With Peyton Manning no longer in the picture, the Colts are expected to spend their No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft on Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck. A Heisman Trophy finalist, Luck finished his collegiate career with 80 passing touchdowns and seven rushing scores in 37 games, completing 66 percent of his passes with an 8.8 yards per attempt average. He also averaged 26 rush yards per game.

    Injury Report
No information available at this time (Updated 3/7/12).
    Fantasy Analysis
Luck has it all -- big size, a great arm, great mobility, quality smarts and a football pedigree as his father played quarterback for the Houston Oilers. There's a general feeling that he's the biggest can't-miss draft prospect since Manning in 1998, and the Colts will get both. Working with new Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians will be helpful as Arians is experienced and has been known to let his passers throw the rock. Questions about his receiving corps remain unanswered, but that's something that will get settled in the weeks to come. In standard seasonal formats, Luck will be swiped with a middle- to late-round No. 2 Fantasy QB with plenty of upside. In dynasty/keeper league drafts, expect Luck to be taken with a mid-round pick because of his long-term potential. And he's a rock-solid No. 1 overall pick in rookie-only leagues.

Yes thank you that helps a lot.

It's surprising me how difficult it is to find those descriptive comments on Luck's style of play. I find lots about his stats but those keywords 'athletic', 'confident', 'smart', 'intelligent', etc. are hard to find.
