Apparently died of a heart attack.

Boy. All I can think is that you have to blame god for not responding to all the prayers for Bill Stewart and WVU this year.
I hope his family is okay in this time of grief and wish them the best.

Heart attack on the golf course.. No signs of anything before hand. He was chatting it up, telling stories than gone. Paramedics got 0 response. His son was just about to graduate high school. Very sad, he was a good man that always put others first.

It's incredible how many lifer football coaches pass away within a year and a half after either getting pushed out or retiring.
People talk about how dangerous playing in the NFL is. I don't think near enough attention is given to the incredible stress placed on the body of a college football coach and what that does to their body. Stress can be more deadly than a concussion.

This is what I was thinking. Stress will drive you crazy .. then it will kill you. Fortunately Bobby Bowden's still kicking around, he's a tough one

RIP Coach Stew. He was high school friends with my in-laws back at Magnolia High School in New Martinsville, WV. and all he did was love WVU.

Thanks.........Bill lived a long good life. Its not as if we are sad at the death of a child and a family that has been destroyed by it but still its sad it watch someone who has done so much for a community pass at an age that you usually don't associate with passing so suddenly.
