I'm torn between who to cheer for....I like Bama, but don't wish to hear the incessant SEC! SEC! SEC! from the hoards of coattailers. Notre Dame is our greatest rival, they beat us...but I have to go with the Irish. Again, like and respect Bama though..just don't like your entire family of big mouths, lol.

Yup. Much like the Domer subway fans...gawd awful, vs the great people who greet you and welcome you in South Bend. Very different, and easy to pick out from both fanbases.

My Uncle met a Trojan fan out in L.A in like 72 & goes & stays with him every other year since. They became & remain good friends to this day.

You won't believe how common this story is...my good friend comes from a long line of die-hard Trojan alumni, from the time of the founding of the university. Her dad would rather burn his tickets in front of an opposing fan than to sell it to them for 100 times the cost. He has volunteered at Heritage Hall when he retired, and Pete Carroll would come up to him and call him by his first name and talk about life in general.

But, he helps his Irish buddies find tickets for the big game...at his cost, and they do the same for him in South Bend. They argue and trash talk back and forth, yet they continue to do this and attend every scholarship banquet held between both fanbases in L.A.
