Just hired as Cincinnati oc. Any thoughts on him? Worried we have an oc without having the experience but have heard nothing but good things.

He is a great running back/Special teams coach, and recruiter but he has never been an OC.

That was my concern. Have no idea what offense he will even run, but I will welcome recruiting the 2nd tier Florida guys.

He produced great RBs at Auburn, good recruiting. If he has any success at OC he will bolt at the first HC offer. He interviewed at the end of nearly every season @ Auburn for HCing gigs. Enjoy him while he's there

Bad hire. He only recruits South Florida and Cincy cant do crap there. He has no OC experience and Tubbs is a defensive guy so......
Tubbs was a great hire, he blew this one though.

Tubbs was a great hire, he blew this one though.

Maybe not a bad hire but definitely a very risky one (for the reasons mentioned). I guess he figures this is his best way to a head coaching gig.
i feel like Cincy might take away some of his strengths (S.Fl. recruiting the big one), but maybe he helps pull one that the big 3 let slip every now and again.
Deserve got nothing to do with it...
