Galaxy S3 vs Note 2

  • Which phone should I get? Iphone isn't an option because USCellular doesn't carry it so don't start that argument.

    TIA

  • S3 is the best phone on the market right now. The Note 2 will be a bigger S3 with a Stylus Pen, and likely a slightly bigger battery. I have the Note, so I would go with the Note 2. Can't go wrong with the S3, though.

Chill man, was just joking. Haven't seen the Note 2, but the S3 is really nice and I don't think you'd regret that decision.

  • I think Im gonna have to wait for the Note 2 to come out so I can hold onto it. Im not sure Im gonna like the size of it mostly for convenient texting if the keyboard is too big. Leaning toward the s3 right now.

Never heard of it. My wife has the HTC One X. Looked up a One X+ and couldn't find anything.

Just looked it up. Its a beast phone, but I would still go with the Note 2.

Yeah, both are pretty equal imo.

Note 2 is more for the media type who watch movies and browse the internet religiously. Also nice for people who use it for work.

One X+ is more casual, but matches the Note 2 in terms of quality.

Depends on what you want to do with your phone. The Note 2 will be perfect for avid web browsers(me), someone that wants a stylus(me), and someone that wants a larger screen(me). HTC One X+ will have superior sound. My wife's One X is awesome when it comes to sound. That was its big selling point. Even sold some awesome headphones separately, which she hasn't got because of the price for said headphones. Both phones will come with Jelly Bean, so that's good. I'm still on Gingerbread with my Note, and not too happy about it. We are getting Jelly Bean here soon, though. Both phones will have the Tegra 3 processor. If I had to pick a camera, I would probably go with the One X+. The One X has a great camera, and I love how you can take a picture from a video. Wish my Note had that.

what all do you do with the stylus? Seems like nothing u can't just do with your finger except hand writing notes and stuff.

That is exactly what I do with it. I have a notepad(S Notes) that I write my work times down on, anything I need to remember... Its just useful. There are a lot of apps that involve the pen as well. Check this video out for the Note 2 if you haven't yet. Its only in 360p, so not as clear as the actual phone is.

Had an HTC thunderbolt, name makes no sense, it was glitchy and was replaced twice, second time was with a LG revolution, which was a complete POS and prompted me to get S3. Love the phone, like the size and very innovative, Samsung is where its at for Android

the note 2 has a 3100 maH battery. the SIII has a 2100 maH battery. so, 50% larger battery in the note 2.

i would wait until next month to decide on a phone because then the new Nexus phone will be released
