Galaxy S3 vs Note 2

I have decided on the Note 2. Can't wait to get it. I messed with it in the store and it didn't seem too big at all. Im excited.

Fits just fine in your pocket. A lot of people think size is a problem when carrying it in the pocket, but its fits just as well as my iphone did.

yea i got to hold one that wasn't attached the wall so I got to put it in my pocket and everything and it felt the same as any other phone. It's definitely the phone I'm going with.

  • I hate all of you. Not that the Note isn't a badass phone... I just really want the Note 2!!!!!!!!

More to do with the S pen, Jellybean compared to my Gingerbread, Tegra 3 processor, ect... Like I said, in 14 months when I'm due for another upgrade, maybe the 3 will be close, or already out or something.

If a change from the IPhone, is there a way to take all my music with me to the new phone? Please say yes because that's the only thing that keeps me holding onto the IPhone.

    Absolutely.

If you download Google Play Music on your computer, it will upload your itunes library to the google cloud. From there you can download or stream it anywhere.

  • Just ordered my Galaxy S3 today. Note 2 was just unnecessarily big to me. S3 fits perfectly in my hand. Should get it next week. banana

I'm sure there is. I just download everything I want with an app. Its nice not dealing with iTunes anymore.

Is it free to do that and hows the music quality? I've seen some say that its Nowhere near as good as the Iphone and some say its ok.im most likely getting the Galaxy S3 because that seems to be the best smart phone verizon carriers. Wish they had the One X+.

  • Ok.....I've narrowed choices down to Verizon's supposed 3 best phones. The Galaxy Nexus, the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2.

Which one would you choose and why? The most important aspects of a phone for me is battery life, browsing the Internet and music. Thanks.

I would also check out the Nexus 4. It is an unlocked phone which mean you can use it with any wireless company.

It will be hands down the most powerful phone on the market when it releases in Tuesday. The Nexus is supposed to have a great battery too. No idea about the music but I am sure it will be good and as far as the internet browsing there are tons of browsers to choose from.

That is the great thing about Android. If you don't like a certain app on the phone you can just download a different one. A lot more customization on Android compared IOS.

Just keep your iphone as a music player and get a different phone.

I have an ipod so that music player portion has never factored in for me.

Theres also a free music player called Paradise music lite that lets you download and save any songs for free. Its pretty cool

Yeah I have over 100gb of music on my ipod so the music player on a phone has never mattered to me. A phone just doesn't have enough storage space for me.

There is no plans for them carrying that phone per Verizon. It doesn't matter to me. I'll just be glad to get out of the Iphone chain that binds me.

  • I just got the S3 last Monday and I love it. I had the thunderbolt before and the S3 is just a little bit larger which is fine for me. I went ahead and got the otterbox commuter case with it. A lot of people really felt that the buttons were really stiff with the case for the lock and volume buttons which they were but it loosens up after about 2-3 days.

    i'm buying it.

for 350 bucks unlocked with no contract it is a steal...add to it the fastest processor out, arguably the highest quality screen out, and 2Gb of RAM...it is an incredible buy. plus it is pentaband, meaning it will fully work on both AT&T and Tmobile plus all foreign GSM providers.

That's how it always works. I got the Note, the S3 got a release date. You get the S3, another great phone gets a release date. I hate 2 year contracts. Think it should be 1 year.

That is why the Nexus 4 is so awesome. No contract at all. Next phone I get will be a Nexus for sure.
