  • Season 3 is suppose to be 10 episodes too and is suppose to adapt the first half of book 3. Martin is suppose to write the 7th episode for season 3 also.... which I'm assuming is for red wedding.

Yes I know, but there is suppose to bd 10. Last night was episode 17. Episode 18 was suppose to be "the Prince of Winterfell". 19 is "Blackwater". 20 is titled "Valar Morghulis".

You are probably right. I thought that seemed wrong last night.

I just did some googling and 3 sites all say 10 episodes with the last one being June 3. I was confused last night when I saw 2 episodes remaining and was thinking WTF... If hbo changed something... then there's a lot of listings wrong.

  • So John is going to be raped in the butthole by the red headed nypho, with her strap on? Right?

  • Last nights episode was the weakest of the season so far for me. It was still very entertaining, but when you think about it, it was all cliffhanger endings with no resolution to any of the various subplots. The Dragon Mother is still looking for her dragons. The Kingkiller is ABOUT to have something very bad happen to him. John Snow is ABOUT to have something very bad happen to him. The traitorous little bastard that has Winterfell is ABOUT to lie through his teeth.

It would have been better if they just extended out the scene with old Jaime and the sword. Let every week have some big event with an actual conclusion. This week was much like the books....a lot of filler and the promise of some exciting stuff, but really its all about the next episode.

They are really moving fast and also changing a good deal bit than they did on the first season. They either need to slow it down by writing a bunch of extra in or they will catch up to all the books in 4 seasons with no more content to go on

According to the powers that be at HBO, thats exactly what they are doing. They are going to condense and enhance the episodes, and then when they get to the point where the books end, go ahead and finish the story themselves, (With an outline and advice from George Martin)

This series would have to last at least a decade if they were going to wait for the books to finish. Thats just not feasible.

Agreed, in the future I might have to sit out an entire season just so I can watch all of the episodes in a row and not be left hanging every week. Eh, who am I kidding, I couldn't do that.

while there wasnt much action, thats the point of a tv series. to keep you interested and to get you to come back to see what happens.

Jon's scene's were pretty neat and it will be interesting to see how it plays out with the girl's crew surrounding him. It seems as tho Tywinn Lanister is catching onto the fact that Arya is not who she says she is. I thought they could have divulged more into Jamie and his past.

and i just cant make myself believe the Stark boys WERE burned at the end.... tho i also didnt think they'd kill Ned so soon...... (i'll take a PM clarifying the Stark boys situation)

What kind of PM do you want? I don't want to spoil it unless that's what you're wanting.

Puts us readers in a dilemma. Do I finish watching the series and spoil books that haven't come out yet? Do I cancel my HBO subscription and wait out the books?

This is exactly the problem I have. Even the worst episodes of this show are very well done, and highly entertaining. This last episode was only average because its Game of Thrones, but compared to most television it was still very good.

As a general rule, though not always applicable, if you do not see someone die, do not assume that they are for sure dead.

Listing characters who have been discussed in the show (Ramsey Snow, for instance), but who aren't going to appear in Season 2 (per the Wiki on the show) is a spoiler? Really?

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

There were a few things discussed that could give away the fate of characters in the future.

There were some very clear spoilers. Maybe not obvious but some people might have read more than they wanted to.

  • I am so confused. I just had a chance to watch the last three episodes and really do not remember a lot of this from the book. Are they really deviating that much from the book or has it been so long since I read the book that I just do not remember it?

They are starting to deviate quite a bit.
