There is a difference between having talent, and being the most talented RB currently at the highest level of football. Curb your enthusiasm just a bit there champ.

lol Name 1 RB in the Big Ten better than him. Name 1 that will have better numbers, next year, just 1

Ok, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, but dude. DUDE. Montee Ball was good, but he is not the best RB in college football history.

How so? Pro's have nothing to do with this. Montee Ball tied the greatest season ever, and broke all time career records in 2 1/2 seasons. He is the best of all time at the colllege level. How that translates to the next level, we will have to wait and see.

Adrian Peterson doesn't belong in conversation for best college back either.

Here are Montee Ball's and Adrian Peterson's best seasons.

    Player A: 331 touches, 2229 Yards, 6.7 yards per touch 39 TD's

    Player B: 344 touches, 1937 Yards, 5.6 yards per touch 15 TD's

Now lets go to their 2nd best seasons

    Player A: 366 touches, 1902 Yards, 5.2 yards per touch, 22 TD's

    Player B: 229 touches, 1158 Yards, 5.1 yards per touch 14 TD's

Those two players dont even compare on the college level. Montee Ball hands down.

so you honestly think this kid doesn't have talent? And will not be at top of the Big Ten next year? lol

Being talented and being AP are two completely different things. And I don't care who wins the big east, or big10, or whatever it is.

What the hell lets keep going with this... Lets compare their 3rd best seasons.

    Player A (Montee): 179 touches, 1124 Yards, 6.3 Yards per touch, 18 TD's

    Player B(Adrian): 198 touches, 1148 Yards, 5.8 Yards per touch, 13 TD's

For anybody who knows football, when you watch Barry Sanders and compare him to Montee Ball, Sanders is much better according to the eye test.

Stats don't tell all. Peterson is also much better than Ball was, but that's not what the original argument was anyway. You said your new RB was AP, which is ridiculous.

AP is better than both Ball/Gordon, and Sanders is better than anybody else mentioned in this post.

I remember him not breaking the record by only rushing for a single TD and gaining just 7 yards in the 4th quarter of the RB.

This is about college RB . Do you really want to start comparing McFadden to Montee Ball... Well lets start.

    Best season:

Ball: 331 touchees, 2229 Yards, 6.7 yards per touch 39 TDs

Mcfadden: 346 touches, 1994 yards, 5.8 yards per touch, 17 touchdowns.

What are you talking about? Montee Ball had 215 yards on 36 touches ( 5.97 yards per touch) and a TD that game. It was a shootout so strategy dictated that they would go to Russell Wilson at the end of the game.

Wisconsin had 10 points in the second half, a half that Ball had less than 50 yards in. he first half was a shootout, the second half Ball and Wisconsin were both shut down. Don't act like they gave him the ball less so Wilson could go crazy.
