Gary Patterson leads for the Arkansas job

This is also TCUs first season in a BCS conference. Just look at the kids from Texas over the past few years who had TCU in their top 3-5. Guys like Johnathan Gray, Malcolm and Malcom Brown, Trey Williams, Reggie Wilson, Thomas Johnson, etc. etc. All high profile guys from the state who were considering TCU. I'm not saying all these kids are going to start lining up to play at TCU, but they'll start to land one or two of these types of kids a year, especially if they have success in the Big 12.

This isn't the Olympics. Just getting a medal doesn't get you anything in recruiting.

Unfortunately, when a team like TCU joins a BCS conference, they go from being a team capable of making a run to the BCS to being a team that is going to fight and struggle to beat out Texas Tech in the Big 12 every year.

Arkansas has proven that they can finish in or near the top 10 in a BCS conference already.

Better job, more money, better program. Pretty simple.

    1. Texas
    2. OU
    3. OK State
    4. A&M
    5. TCU
    6. Arkansas

Lived in Dallas all my life. I assure you the Arkie following is pretty minimal up here. There's some but its relatively small compared to the others, outside of maybe TCU.

Okie State above Arkansas? Now you've lost all credibility.

Lol in their 20+ years in the SEC Arkie has what, two top 10 finishes? With a once a decade type coach who they just fired no less. Lol ok.

Okie Lite has a significantly bigger following in the metroplex. That's not an opinion.

  • pipe dream. Patterson has turned down better offers in the past.

They really don't. You also put them above A&M which is downright laughable.

If he said that 20 years ago you would be right. Today? It's very much true.
