Getting a new set of Golf Clubs

  • Today. What type of irons and Drivers do you guys like? I'll be getting my swing analysed, fitted and an idea of what clubs best suit me. I've been Golfing my whole life but getting my swing checked is long overdue for me.

I'm thinking about either Calloway or Taylormade for my Irons.

New Cobra Driver or the reduced Spin Adams Driver (less spin adds greater distance)

Anyways, what say you? I know we have some Link players on here.

I have the Callaway RAZR X Tours from last year and I love them. Along with Taylormade RBZ 3 Hybrid and 3 Wood. I'm buying a new driver next week. Deciding between the new Cobra AMP Cell or the Taylormade R1.

Basically you can't go wrong with Callaway irons. They're the best in the business when it comes to irons.

  • Also. I suggest going with some better wedges as well. I have Vokey 48 52 56 and 60 degree wedges. Worth every penny I spent on them.

These were my dad's first irons. Still plays them. Bought them in the 80's

  • I have Titleist irons. They are blades so they aren't as forgiving but if you have a consistent swing they fly. Used to have Mizunos like someone said above which were blades as well but they never really felt good in my hands I had to put lead tape on them because they were so light.

Drivers, I have a Taylormade Burner and not gonna lie, I don't like it. I have never really had a driver I loved and felt awesome with. I had a Cleavland Hibore back in the day, Titleist D2, Nike Sasquatch and never felt comfortable with any. Only driver I loved was my Wilson driver that came in my 7 piece set when I was 8.

That is a good price. When I have priced them in the last they were north of $1,000.

  • A lot of guys at the club just switched over to those RocketBladez by TaylorMade. I'm using my dad's older set of Calloway Big Bertha irons and I love 'em, along with a set of Cleveland wedges. God knows how old they are. lol
