Ok sorry. I meant the link for everyone, didn't know you are a pro, and yes, sippin the sauce

you clearly don't understand pinehurst. Watch the US Open. You will love it.

If you consider pebble beach a links style course then you don't get what a true links style course is. The fact that a course is next to water should have no baring on how good the course is. It is the style you must play in order to get the ball in the hole that determines if a course is a links course. If you watched Snedekers play last weekend you will understand he didn't hit many shots that you would consider "traditional links" style golf shots

There is no way Pebble is a links course. I understand links golf. I have a hybrid type links course a mile from my house. Rock hard greens. Fast fairways and very little rough because its native grass five yards off the fairway

That would be nice, Chareston is great for golf but all the coarses are basically the same.

There is almost every kind of course you can golf out here in Nebraska. Ton of links courses though. Works out well with how dry it is

Basically you can't go wrong with Callaway irons. They're the best in the business when it comes to irons.

    LOL what ? NO

Callaway are the equivalent of Walmart brand nowadays (I think you can actually buy them at target)

Save a couple extra hundred and get Titleist or Mizuno

Lulz. I love Callaway Irons. RAZR X Tours are phenomenal irons. Which I chose over Titleist and Mizuno. Save money? Titleist and Mizuno irons are some of the most expensive irons in the business. What are you talking about?

Plus you can buy the high handicap forgiveness irons just about anywhere.

The high handicap irons may not be so good. But the low tour level irons are fantastic.

Plus with me being left handed. I can't really get Mizuno or Titleist irons that I would even want to play on. It's very hard for me to get good clubs.

I guess we will have to just agree to disagree. If you choose Callaway over Titelist and Mizuno for reasons other than price I guarantee you are maybe 1 out of 1000 that would do that. The control and feel from those two is far superior to anything Callaway puts out there (save for whats in Mickelson or Els' bag)

A million times this. When I bought my 'burner' last week I didn't have choice of full selection of taylormade or the ping g series drivers and I didn't wanna have to wait and order it.

I have a set of MP-32 Mizuno blades and I'm left handed and a line drive low ball hitter

Today. What type of irons and Drivers do you guys like? I'll be getting my swing analysed, fitted and an idea of what clubs best suit me. I've been Golfing my whole life but getting my swing checked is long overdue for me.

I'm thinking about either Calloway or Taylormade for my Irons.

New Cobra Driver or the reduced Spin Adams Driver (less spin adds greater distance)

Anyways, what say you? I know we have some Link players on here.

take your time and get yourself fitted. It's hard to just go into your local golf store and just go by the marketing from the big dog companies like TM, Callaway, Titleist, Cobra, etc. They all make good clubs you just have to find the right club and shaft that fits your swing. A couple of years ago I was in the market for a new driver and I had it in my mind I was going to get a Titleist before I walked in the golf shop. Needless to say I walked out with the last driver I ever thought I would have in my bag, a Callaway Razr Hawk Tour version. I still have this club in my bag and have no reason to get rid of it.
I did swing the callaway razr hot tour irons at the local Dick's and man are they nice but I like my Mizzy's.

  • My favorite irons I ever had were Mizuno MP-67s. Those things were amazing. Bought them in 06 I believe. They were expensive but well worth it. Unfortunately some jerk stole my clubs so I'm now on my backup set of Taylormade TP LTs.

I don't ever plan on using another kind of iron. Love my Mizunos

  • I play the Mizuno JPX800s. Have about a 19 handicap, which has improved about 3 strokes since I bought my irons last year (was playing a set of McGregors I bought as a freshman in college). I tried the Callaway Razrs and the Taylormade 2.0s. The TM2.0s were just too long of a club for me, and I was consistently bottoming out and hitting them fat. Tough call with the Razrs...really liked them, but everyone I talked to said Mizuno is the best "feel" iron out there, so I went with them. I love them, but would have been fine with the Razrs.

    THIS.

unfortunately I can not play my MP33s because of my job. I wish Mizuno needed more reps in my area.
