The SEC did however put a cap on the single year signees. EVERY team in D1A has a cap of 25 signees per year. Are there still little conference stipulations? Yes, but wont be this coming Summer. Its not the SEC's fault that they catered to the recruiting masses because they knew the importance of the recruiting game, but rather the B1G doing the craziest thing and having a "gentlemen's agreement" type thing when involving an already committed prospect not being allowed to take another OV to another school. You're not playing the game by doing that. Recruiting it too important to have silly things like that in place. Prolly a big time reason you saw Bielema leave for ARK. Meyer has already and will make the B1G conference super pissed at his antics (which BTW I have no problem with whatsoever, for the record). If you arent playing the recruiting game, you're taking a back seat and watching the parade go by. Its called unethical, but to me thats silly. B1G never wanted to play the game and by this Summer all D1A schools and conferences will be under the same rules in regards to numbers. Something tells me after what Meyer will do in recruiting in the B1G, that "gentlemen's agreement" will be torn up.
For the record, no school is allowed to dress or practice more scholly players than 85 at one time. Back counting still exists, but everything changes this coming Summer. Hope this helps out for the few that didn't know. Happy New Year fellas! What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome.--Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
