    Americans are not as smart as they once were.

    Edit: Actually we don't care as much as we used to. Too many people who are passive. We have been screwed so many times we just accept the fact that politicians are corrupt and inept.

    The Republicans and Democrats are basically the same party now, only a few subtle differences separate them. Sure both parties have their extremist, but the overwhelming majority believes in the same things.

    He knows that he can promise and never deliver - in fact he has not delivered on any promise except Obamacare that will never be what he promised it to be. Do people actually think the 30% of this country without healthcare are going to receive "free healthcare?" I talked to a guy on the metro in D.C., who was heading to HUD for a housing assignment and he said "Obama is going to get me my hip replaced and laser surgery for my eyes so i dont need glasses anymore when my Obamacare kicks in..." Really?

    Obama supporters can only post emoticons, make personal attacks, and blame Bush on this board when you point out that he will go down as the worst president in the history of the United States.

    Never do you see anyone post his accomplishments, because there are none to speak of.

    You will hear "he got Osama" but this is how brainwashed they are because the Navy got the info through joint service water boarding that 3 years ago Obama tried to ban to kiss the enemy's ass. If Obama got his way - bin Ladin would be alive today plotting to kill Americans.

  • I think we should go back to the way it was. the house is elected by the people (Same as now), the Senate elected by the general assemblies of the states (way it was in 1916 and before), and the president elected by the electoral college. The electoral college would be free to vote for whoever they want and I would vote for not a president, but a person who would vote on my behalf. That person could then sitdown and get all questions answered they wanted. Just saying it worked pretty well before, why not try it again.
