Ate at Fat Clemenza's two weeks ago. One of my all-time favorites.
Another great Italian place in Destin is La Familigia. It's over by AJ's and is absolutely awesome and authentic. Plus, the sisters that run it all have sexy Italian accents.
Destin and Sandestin are like heaven on earth. Unfortunately, I'll be stuck in Pensacola Beach this weekend.

...cant agree with your assessment of Destin. 10 yrs ago maybe, but now it's too crowded, and you cant get down 98 without two lanes of idiots with Texas and Kentucky plates rubbernecking while going mph because they've never seen water before.
At least its not the redneck riviera like PCola beach. What a trashmagnet.

Lived in Pensacola (hated it), and Fort Walton (loved it)...back in those days (84-86') Destin was unspoiled and mostly untouched. The locals all hung out in Destin. Now, it takes an hour and a half to get a hotdog. Been going back to Destin every year since the 90's, but I won't be going back___it's way too crowded! I found a better place.

McGuires has some of the best steak and ribs I've ever eaten. Also all those dollar bills hanging everywhere is crazy.
