Gonig you were right about The Walking Dead *Spoiler Alert*

  • After you told me how good the show was I tried to watch the first few episodes of season two. Pretty much when Carl was shot and they met the old guy at his farm. The first couple of episodes were so boring that I quit watching it. Actually the last episode that I saw before this season began was when Shane served up the fat guy that shot Carl to the Walkers.

    Well I gave it another shot this season and have absolutely become addicted. I love the governor character and Mishone(sp?) is a badass as well. Question though from what I missed. What happened to Shane and is that why Rick was having problems with his wife before she died? I remember seeing that Shane and her had an affair.

  • Shane put a gun to Rick, and the two argued about Laurie and who would be a better father to the baby. Rick killed Shane because he was too unhinged and would eventually risk the well-being of the group. He turned into a walker and Carl shot him.

    Good deal, thanks. I've heard that Carl was the one that killed Dale as well. Little kid is turning out to be a bad ass. I've also heard that Tyrese, from the last episode becomes a real big character in the series based on the comics.

    I'm going to have to watch the first two seasons the next time they have a marathon. I get most of what has happened but I've still missed a bunch. Thanks for getting me to try it all the same.

    You should just watch it. The story is great and some very memorable events.

    I'll admit that I was completely wrong about the show. After about three shows this season, I was hooked. I've never been big into the zombie genre but it was you and Gonig that kept on talking about how good it was. I'm glad I finally gave it the time it deserved. I'll watch season one and two next weekend or something since college football isn't on.

    AMC has some really good shows. I say that and haven't even seen Mad Men yet. It's not because I tried it and got bored or anything though. I just never heard of it until about season three and didn't want to jump in smack in the middle of it. I'm thinking about buying the whole series on DVD when the next season ends.

    Still when you are talking about "The Walking Dead", "Breaking Bad", "Hell on Wheels", "The Killing", and I'm assuming "Mad Men" is bad ass as well; I don't think there is another cable channel that can touch it.

  • I like when shows spend some extra time developing the characters. It doesn't have to be a big twist or crazy cliffhanger ending every week to make me come back. Far to often writers go for that and forget how to really tell a story.

    The show needed season 2 for character development. Some people don't like that, but its needed.
