I went for my chemo treatment today, and when they handed me my schedule, I have 1 treatment for March!!!! They are giving me a break!! I have taken chemo treatments for almost 17 months. So I must be doing a good bit better for him to give me this break.I am anxious, but nervous as well. I am hoping to regain some of my strength back. I'm so sick of being weak. I want to personally thank each and every one of you that have prayed for me, sent me well-wishes, and commented on my posts! You have become my family! I promise I will still come on and keep you updated on how I'm doing. Thank you all so much! God bless you, and I love you!!! Take care, and I'll be posting again soon!!

I don't want to jinx it or anything, but it sounds like good news. Rooting for you as always. When you beat this thing, we need to get some people on this board to take you out for about a weeklong vacation.
We haven't had a BB trip setup this year so I would think that you beating this sick disease would be as awesome as it came for an excuse to get about 30 of us together or so.
I know that you'll keep us updated and I will look forward to your next positive update.

I am thinking the same thing. I would say after his next chemo treatment, give him a few weeks to recover during his layoff from treatments, and lets make at least a long weekend of it.
I would certainly be willing to throw a couple hundred personally so that he doesn't have to pay a cent. I'm sure there are plenty of others that would do the same. I think that would be the best way to set up this years blue board trip around.
Lets show Birdus an awesome time and pay his way entirely and have a good four to five days or so of it.

Anyway, I think this is the best way that we could make a trip like this really special. As long as Birdus is up for it, I'm 100% in. Birdus, if you are interested in taking a vacation after your next chemo treatment, seriously let us know. I promise that you won't pay a penny for it. I'm sure that there are fifteen or so people on this board that will join us. We have been talking about the 2013 Blue Board trip for a minute now, and I'm sure that all of our wives will let us go when we tell them your situation.
Not trying to sound like we are using you as an excuse, but it would make it easier. I think that it would be an awesome time and for a good cause. Call me crazy but it's a thought. If some of the staff agree with me and pin this, we can get the details started. I'll set up a lot of it as long as I have a decent amount of people that are 100% in.
