dont forget the plug......you wouldnt think this would have to be said but i dont know any fisherman that hasnt made that mistake atleast once. dont forget you have a bilge pump on that one, you will need to pump it every 3 or 4 hours, or atleast you used to, i dont know how far basstrackers have come. take a bag incase anything breaks, it doesnt always happen but from time time you will find something isnt done right (especially on the older basstrackers, again none of my family has had one in years they might very well have improved). put toiled paper in a zip lock bag and put in a storage area, you wont regret this one. will you be putting it in by yourself? if so have you ever put a boat in by yourself? can be tricky

I'll try to remember that. A buddy of mine really tore his up last year going over some rocks. It was real bad.

All very good advice. I've never put a boat in by myself before, but I also don't plan on taking the boat out by myself. I don't think I'll have a problem finding a buddy to come fishin with me on it. But, with that said, I also wouldn't be surprised if I ended up taking it out by myself sometime haha

ha one trick ive learned when going solo since that appears to be an aluminum hull , have a rope attached to the eye at the front of the hull, before you back in, tie the rope to the back of the trailer. back the boat in and when its deep enough hit the breaks to make the boat slide off the trailer then slowly pull forward pulling the boat back to the ramp. when doing this make sure the rope is good and you have good knots tied

Now that's funny good advice on the extra prop though. Also, buy a bunch of shorty lifejackets to store somewhere on boar if u plan on taking out a few ppl, nothing worse than getting a ticket for not having enough life jackets

I bought my uncles 22 ft. Bumblebee about two years ago and love the thing. Yours looks a lot newer than mine though. The only reason that my uncle sold it to me is because he won a brand new Ranger boat at a fishing tournament in a fvcking raffle.

Like others have said make sure you do regular maintenance and you should be good to go.

Enjoy your time on the water my friend. I recommend that you make a checklist and go through it BEFORE you leave your house. Your checklist should include drain plug, hitch locked down, straps (on longer trips), and your fishing gear. Make a couple and laminate them. Place one around your fishing/boating gear and one on the visor of your vehicle. This is redundant, but go through your checklist again before you launch. Nice boat btw.

I knooow, it really sucks having to wait. I was already starting to get the itch to go fishing, because I don't do a ton of ice fishing. And now that I know I've got a boat, it just makes it that much worse. But thanks for the advise to everyone that chimed in, there's some good stuff on here. The checklist is probably a good idea, I can tend to forget little things sometimes.
