Great idea for this site..

When you type in the name of a current player in the database, that name turns into a link to that player's profile.
A lot of times, someone mentions a player. Then I go into the database to search for that player. I believe this is possible, as I have been on boards where certain words are key words that you can click on.

Not a bad idea. That might take quite a bit of programming though. Not really sure.

I know it can be done with html linking (kind of like bold, italics, etc) because a lot of analyst created threads on our site show a person's name as a link. I'd be interested to learn how to do it.

The one setback is what if multiple player's have the same name. Not a big issue, but when you count all the current players and recruits in the database, it could slowly become a small problem. Good idea though.

That is easy. If there are multiple players with the same name the link will take you to the search page like when you search for that player.

Hyperlinking is easy enough to do, it's just a matter of 247's programming. It would be easy on our end to use, not sure how easy it would be to code in.
If you wanted a YouTube link to appear as "Click the link here" you would put:
[url=www.youtube.com/whateverlink]Click the link here[/url]
It's really, really easy to use.
