Not only was Brooks an intrical piece on several great D's for us, but he remains one of our largest boosters, best representitives of our university, active supporters, and currently sits on our BOT.
I'd argue that, as a whole, Brooks was 10x more valuable to FSU than Young was to Texas.

Brooks was a favorite linebacker for me to watch play. Loved his game at FSU, and loved his game in Tampa Bay.
That being said, FSU is still a great team without him, while Texas without VY would not have been close to what they were.
Inherently QB is so much more important in the game of football. Like losing your Ace who was scheduled to pitch in game 7.

#28 Troy Davis, Iowa State
Only player in D1A history to rush for 2000+ yards twice. He was the 1996 Heisman runner-up despite winning three of the six regions. The major draw back is that his team went 5-17 in his two seasons as a starter.

Jones was the most vicious hitter at LB I ever saw. Had 110 tackles as a true-freshman!
Wish he and Sam Cowart had been healthy during their NFL careers.
