right...Talib or Mos Def are better...lmfao. Or let me guess..that overrated dancing clown, no rythm 2pac is better as well? You don't think I remember him dancing around like a clown as a back-up dancer in the 80's?

Rakim aka The God MC says it best..about Eminem. Rakim says if Em was black he'd be looked at like the Ali of rap.

The only rapper over the last 20 years that is even in Em's league is Biggie.

lol whatever you say bro, the rest of us are laughing at you though no matter what you think

And I could give a shit what Rakim says, nobody said Em is terrible or that Talib or Def are better so calm your young ass down

Fact is though Em is a true homo behind the scenes and that kills him for me personally, he was nothing more than a drugged out idiot with talent who bashed his mother to an audience of millions while being a total wigger dick face to the vast majority of hollywood..... and personally his lyrics just weren't my thing, sometimes I liked his songs but lots of his songs were weird and crazy and I wasn't down

He is a low life POS just trying to stay rich and famous, who really cares about that dude anymore ? and best of all time rapper ? no, that is absurd.... Im sure most have him in the discussion but for you to sit here and say he is the best, period...... well its just dumb and that is why we all are laughing at you

I also hated the majority of his fans, that also killed him for me

He had some of the worst fans ever

Not talking about dance rythm...talking about rythm in his flow. 2pac has no rythm in his flow and lyrically he is straight garbage.

Eminem's more serious stuff is very good.

The guy proved in 2010 he was back to his old self by destroying everything he was on. Upstagged BOB on his own single Airplanes. Destroyed Wayne (not that that is hard to do) on his own song. Destroyed Kanye, Wayne, and Drake on their song.

Recovery was his best work in years. Lots of great rhymes on that and his flow was better than ever.

Don't be a hater because he's white. Dude is as legit as it gets.

BOB, Kanye, Wayne, and Drake? Thats the rap Mount Rushmore

man, the best is impossible to determine, because it is so subjective. there are no real ways to weed out personal preference.

The best rapper of all time, hands down, in a career model, would have had to be LL.

his career body of work is crushing the competition. yet, he is neither the best lyricist or even the best freestyler. he has put out so many hits, though, and has stayed so relevant throughout, even crushing people in battles well after his prime.

but there are no ways to measure who is the best in any objective way. we can't use album sales, because then we would be losing all the old school acts. Take LL for instance... his first 4 albums were from before hip-hop really even made a dent with the white peoples...

those are the biggest things going in rap right now.

don't worry though, Eminem killed Jay-Z and Nas on their own songs as well.

I think from an overall perspective it would have to Jay-Z. LL is up there too. Commercial, success, overall impact, skills, fame, etc.

  • Dr. Dre should be a #1 seed. If he had been shot and killed it looks as though he would be a lock. lol.

Snoop Dogg is too low. Scarface a #4? Come on.

The man responsible for possibly the greatest rap song of all time - Regulators - Warren G is no where to be found?

You need to revamp your bracket man.

There's no way that I can take you serious after you said Pac has no flow. You do realize his lyrics are from the 90's, right? So they make sense for the time period.

Em, has great verses out there, like the one's you mentioned. But, were they his songs?

Could you imagine Pac, Biggie, Nas, or Jay doing Stan? Thats like one of his biggest hits right?

He definitely can rap lyrically, but come on half his career is mainly comedy rap

Jay maybe, but Em ain't effin with Nas on his worst day. Nas' "Lost Tapes" shits on anything Em has put out. I won't even get into Illmatic, It Was Written, or Stillmatic.

Well thats just a shame thats the biggest things in rap. I did love his verses on Renegade, probably my favorite verses from him. Like Nova said though, his whole persona just rubbed me the wrong way. Killing his mom and wife on songs, just not my style

Also, what song did him and Nas do together?

amen, I didn't get along with my mom either but ripping her to millions is something I would never do, especially on nine hits of X

Kid is a joke to me, great rapper but who gives a shit.... plenty of others I would rather listen too, especially right now

Eminem's recent stuff has been total garbage

Lol. No. I don't remember 2pac's lyrics were from the 90's. Are you kidding me right now?

And yes, 2pac's flow is garbage, so are his lyrics. He is more of a Bob Dylan type. You know how Dylan is always listed as one of the greatest singers of all-time but he can't sing for shit? 2pac = same thing. His flow is garbage compared to Biggie, Em, Jay, Nas, any of the greats.

I don't give a shit what Eminem raps. Comedy. Stan. Whatever. Very few can lyrically put together words like that and flow like that. 2pac ain't one of them. Biggie could do that sort of thing. Nas could. To a certain extent Jay-Z.

Oh commercial success. Well, that sums it all up right there.

And yeah he tagged Jay up on that one song.

But, why is Jay, Dr. Dre's goto man for his ghost writing? Y does he choose Jay over Em?

commercial success is not a good way to judge an artform. if you want to talk about lyrics, Nas has to be the 1 seed. if you want to talk about commercial success, then no one is touching jay.

so, sales, eminem. commercial success, and overall success? jay.

Jay Z is the most financially set emcee, and he has had the most no. 1 albums, considering he is also a producer, etc...

this subject cannot be fairly dealt with because there is no way to measure.

hey DickMcJunkin...Eminem is the best selling rap artist of time. He's sold more records than Jay.

Eminem was the biggest selling artist in North America for the entire past decade. Yes, that is correct. Not the top selling rap artist, but the top selling artist, period.

His last 2 albums- Relapse (which was total shit) and Recovery, both sold more than any of Jay's recent albums. In fact, Recovery sold over 4 million in the US/Canada alone. Double what Jay's last release did.

Eminem is the most commercially successful rap artist ever, fyi.

Its funny how you call us black and we just can't name a white guy the best ( Im white BTW )

But you assume that you and your white suburban buddies who are or were wigged out at some point ( the only kinds of kids that actually liked Eminem like you clearly do ) have the best say in this argument

Just give up man, Eminem is not the best mainly cause like McJunkin said there is no real way to declare a #1
