hey DickMcJunkin...Eminem is the best selling rap artist of time. He's sold more records than Jay.
Eminem was the biggest selling artist in North America for the entire past decade. Yes, that is correct. Not the top selling rap artist, but the top selling artist, period.
His last 2 albums- Relapse (which was total shit) and Recovery, both sold more than any of Jay's recent albums. In fact, Recovery sold over 4 million in the US/Canada alone. Double what Jay's last release did.
Eminem is the most commercially successful rap artist ever, fyi.

Then you should know that Eminem's albums are 90%+ serious songs, with one or maybe two "comedy" singles to get on MTV. Seriously, look at the Marshall Mathers LP tracklist and tell me what song other than The Real Slim Shady and the skits qualifies as "comedy"
1. "Public Service Announcement 2000"
2. "Kill You"
3. "Stan" (featuring Dido)
4. "Paul" (skit)
5. "Who Knew"
6. "Steve Berman" (skit)
7. "The Way I Am"
8. "The Real Slim Shady"
9. "Remember Me?" (featuring RBX & Sticky Fingaz)
10. "I'm Back"
11. "Marshall Mathers"
12. "Ken Kaniff" (skit)
13. "Drug Ballad"
14. "Amityville"
15. "Bitch Please II" (featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit & Nate Dogg)
16. "Kim"
17. "Under the Influence"
18. "Criminal"edit: you can do that with any of eminem's CDs. Yet obviously "Eminem is a comedy act" lmfao be more ignorant. He does comedy stuff like My Name Is or the Borat-guy thing to get publicity but underneath that is one of the rawest, most talented MCs of all time.

and this post is exactly why I'm calling you ignorant and think you only listen to radio singles. Eminem has ONE SONG on the Marshall Mathers LP where he's "beefing with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera." Everything else on that album is raw, dark, brilliant, and not pop-y at all. Same thing applies to the Slim Shady LP. Both of those albums are considered all-time classics.
Seriously, your line itt is ridiculous. Every rapper who has had commercial success has put out vapid singles that exist only to get radio play. Do you judge Jay-Z on the basis of "Can I Get A..." or Tupac on the basis of "California Love"? Nas wrote "Gettin Jiggy With It"...is that all he can do? Judge rappers on their body of work, don't just point out one song and dismiss them because of it.

Big L a 10 seed?! Thats my pick all the way to the finals for sure.. Head to head Big L might be the best lyricist ever.. Agree Em got shafted at 5 seed, but theres no way he should be a 1 seed.. 2 or 3 seed IMO.. In a battle Em would crush Pac, Biggie would be a challenge.. Of course Big L would murder Em in a battle..
