Yeah but it's been very rare that a prospect does not enjoy an official visit, especially to a place like Texas. I think the Longhorns have done a great job recruiting him, FWIW, and have climbed into the conversation. Like I said, you never know what will ultimately happen, but that's the scuttlebutt right now.

Yeah. Proximity being a big factor works both ways for programs. It's very interesting to watch every year and in other sports, like hoops and baseball, it's not as big of a deal.

I often wonder if in those sports, travel teams get kids more comfortable with going further away so it's not as important to stay close to home. Whereas in football, it's very regional/local on the high school level, even with some of the travel 7-on-7s and cross-state TV games that are popping up now.

Sorry, but the beginning of the article makes it sounds like he's a done deal to Arkansas and then the article says its a close race between Oklahoma and arkansas

"It's looking more and more" does not mean "done deal" by any stretch and what are you apologizing for?

I just thought it made him sound like a Arkansas lock and then when it said Oklahoma still in a "close second" I thought it was a little contradictory.

Just where do you get you sources? The only way he goes to Arkansas is they give his dad a job as is being reported.

Yeah, the team will gladly welcome a player like him. Good to see Arkansas getting in the mix for out of state elite players, granted he is close. A nice change.

I respect the love you have for the Sooners and your willingness to come in here and ask questions, but I believe the information that I gathered is legit. In fact, I know it is.

But if it's being reported that his dad is getting a job....and, um, that report is true and that's a way he goes to Arkansas....then, um....wouldn't that make the fact that I believe right now he's considered a lean to Arkansas be accurate?

The Razorbacks have always been a big, big factor here.

I also was pretty clear that OU is No. 2. I can sum it up for you here- right now, it's Arkansas. If it's another program, it's Oklahoma. If there is a darkhorse/longshot, it's Texas.

I think we'd have to have a better quarterback for him to give us serious consideration.

Arkansas already has plenty of talent at wide receiver. Their problem has been, and will continue to be, the fact that they can't stop a decent team.

Does he or his family consider a long distance visit to OSU if Urban Meyer comes calling?
