well actually i just saw this and hadn't heard a peep about it was just passing it along but you can talk about whatever you want to.

Is it ironic that Obama was crying today about children that were murdered, when he's killed more with drone attacks?

So he hasn't killed children through drone attacks?

I'm not, it's a valid argument. Nobody ever said anything about Bush, he's been out of office for four years.

No it definitely isn't a valid point... When their soldiers are hiding in schools and hospitals eventually that shit is bound to happen. They don't give a rats ass about killing our women or children so I really don't even want to hear it

I'm all for the 2nd Amendment, but there has to be some reform in the way guns are sold. Has to be. It shouldn't be as easy as it is to obtain a deadly weapon IMO.

And before someone says it, I say the same thing about cars. Should be much harder than it is to obtain a license to operate a 2-ton asphalt missile.

I wondered the same thing yesterday. The vast majority seem to. I can remember one in Tennessee shortly after Columbine. Of course there are shootings in red states between students that occured over arguements, but those are direct targeting shootings. Not this nut job shoot up everyone in sight then kill myself type shooting.

I know this is a terrible event but more kids will die choking on toy parts this year than by being shot. Toys are more dangerous to kids than guns. Swimming pools are to. Cars as well. And we can get by without all those things just like we could without guns if thats your arguement. The right to own guns is a constitutional right and will never be overturned. And can you even imagine trying to un-arm the country? You would have tens of thousands of people boarding up their homes daring cops to come and try. I say leave it up to the individual states on how strict you make your gun laws and let people live where they feel comfortable.

People keep saying whats wrong with our society. I say nothing that hasnt been with us since we climbed out of the trees. We are a violent race. Maybe over the next thousand years our DNA will evolve and genes controlling violence will become more dormant. Id say we are a much less violent race than a thousand years ago, wouldnt you? Until then we have to live with it. Unless were prepared to lock up all mentally ill and violent people for life at the first sign of trouble or by DNA testing. All of that would cause more trouble than what we are facing at the moment.

Jesus. Is someone going to start a thread every time someone gets shot now? I understand posting about the Oregon and Conn shooting, but is it really worth posting about two dudes on a train in Philly? Someone gets shot in Philly probably once a day on average.

It just seems like an overkill and these threads are more about a political agenda then actually morning the deaths of these victims. Too many threads about these shootings is just going to desensitize everyone to this type of stuff.
