I would've. The school has nothing to do with it. I think Notre Dame's offense is a great fit for his skill set and on paper it's probably a better situation than any of those other schools you mentioned. The whole situation is just a red flag to me.

There IS a study being done regarding recruiting drama/flipping in regard to on-field results...unfortunately, the modern day recruiting system is causing an influx of data that requires a ton of time to analyze.
So the poster who is claiming a "troll job" isn't just wildly incorrect, but sounds a little butt hurt as well.

I don't have a problem with Barton voicing his opinion. However, I'd prefer he cited examples of QB's in the past who waffled like this and ended up failing.

QB is much different than DL as well. The level of commitment a QB needs to a long and arduous process to succeed far exceeds that of a DL.

Not a QB, but TE Chris Barnett is a perfect example from last year. He committed to three (?) different schools and enrolled at Michigan for about a week before transferring.

Pryor was a Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl MVP. If the hype was a MNC or bust you are correct, he never lived up to it.

Hope you're wrong, but I can't disagree, especially with the evidence out there to support your argument. Hope he pans out for the Irish. However, I still think Golson is the real deal and will be starting in 2012.

Pryor was a very good college QB. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about. Was he an idiot? yes, but there is zero doubt he is inbetween that very good and great level of college QBs. He lived up to his 5 star hype IMO.
