77,000 in the USA in 2000.
If Great Britain had the USA's population, that would equate to about 9000.

And what change is that? Take away guns, then only the criminals have them on the black market. Overpopulation of many animals which will kill farmers/crops. Oh, and you still have bombs that anyone with internet can make.
