I just don't see how the need for the protection of a gun is a legit reason unless you live in the ghetto. Assuming the crime rate and poverty isnt too high in your area, you really would be more safe without guns. Yet urban democratic areas, who typically don't benefit as much from tighter control, are also the ones pushing for new legislation. Go figure. That's our country in a nutshell.
